DFL BLOGGER HIDES IDENTITY FROM KENNEDY CAMPAIGN WEB VENDOR, SEEKS INFORMATION ON SECURITY FEATURES OF WEBSITE #3

By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 22, 2006

I have spoken with a few members of the media about Patrick Timmons, the blogger behind Minnesota Republican Watch and a contributor to DFL Senate, contacting the website vendor of Mark Kennedy's campaign twice in the last 24 hours and requested information on any updated security features of Kennedy's campaign website.

It's a very simple story:

If there was no nefarious motive to Mr. Timmons' call, why didn't he indentify himself as the blogger behind Minnesota Republican Watch and as a contributor to DFL Senate?

###

This is a reminder that I am a part-time consultant to Mark Kennedy’s U.S. Senate campaign. Minnesota Democrats Exposed is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or authorized by any political party, candidate, or candidate’s committee. It’s all me and always will be and I am very proud of Minnesota Democrats Exposed

Michael, did you not hide your identity as the publisher of this blog until a court forced you to reveal it?

You’ve never said that the vendor ASKED the blogger who he was.

Damn boy, get to issues. Not gonna win like this, and you’re going to drag more of the ticket down. Governor’s race is tight my friend — don’t need you painting all GOP with a whiner weenie brush.

Forgot to congratulate you on getting to #3 on another non-story.

    Putz.

Michael, I real do enjoy reading the comments from the left, and they sure are squirming like the worms they are!!
The truth hurts and the left is winning so loud because the light is being shed on their joke of a party that they are.

Unfortunately, the protagonist may get away with what he or she has been trying to hide at all costs, even if it is a criminal act.

Hey Michael, I went to news.google.com and put in “Mark Kennedy” to see how many people outside the state of Minnesota were paying any attention to this little tempest in a teapot you’re trying to stir up. Answer: nada.

Put in “John Kline” and see that there are stories about his aide’s little racial slur though, calling it “Minnesota Macaca.” Pretty nasty graphic on the Jalopnik site.

Kliner was very helpful to the cause by saying “Jap” was acceptable in the good old days, “but of course we can’t say it where we’ll be filmed now” (made up quote, but that’s what the ‘tude seemed to be).

How about you neocons give the party back, so it can win a few on the issues. This short-term gain you are trying to make really screws up the long game.

Is the Kennedy Campaign upset because someone stole their precious?

Episcocat, what “precious.” This some pop-culture reference that I’m not getting down here in my bunker?

From “The Lord of the Rings”

It seems to me that not supplying a name when you are looking for information is a good way not to have doors slammed in your face. Of course this wouldn’t apply to MDE because he probably has more name recognition than most reporters in this state. So cuddos to Patrick for daring to ask the question that would certainly have repercussions but that needed to be asked.

Also, nice use of the word nefarious.

It seems apparent that Timmons used his real name. Brodkorb’s problem is that the company says Timmons didn’t say exactly which blog he writes for.

difference between the attention that Kline receives and amy’s trip into Nixonville is Kline is a Republican. It’s the same reason KKKByrd is acceptable:he’s a democrat. What else?
But I don’t care about Nat’l Attention; it’s getting play in Minnesota and by word of mouth.
    You dims are pathetic insects

Coming from someone who only revealed his name under threat of lawsuit, this is rich.

Mike, whatever credibility you might once have had just up and left.

And FWIW, I think Andy Aplikowski may have crossed the line into tortious libel, but that’s just me….

One Kennedy is the US Senate is enough.

//How about you neocons give the party back, so it can win a few on the issues.//

Who’s been winning elections consistently for the last 12 years?

It’s funny how you know when you’ve hit a real nerve. All the defensive tactics and name calling just kick up like my foot when the doctor hits my knee with that little rubber hammer.

Good job Michael. You expose these people as much in their own comments as you do in your posts. It brings out their true character. Mean, dirty, hypocritical, and unethical.

Kennedy’s alligence to Bush and company has never been so evident as it has been these last few days. Further discussion of anything other then issues simply proves out what the electorate has been suspecting for years. Kennedy is an empty suit. A rubber stamp for an adminstration whose war on the middle class has put in real jepordy the future of our country. It will take the republican party 20 years to recover anything like the reputation and integrity it once enjoyed. This is in no small part, because of the likes of Rove, Atwood, and the little pretenders like Strom and Brodkorb

So Feckless Jeff thinks that Andy “crossed the line into tortious libel”. That statement, coming as it does from the Feckless One, and a dollar will get you home on the bus tonight.

If you want to talk about hiding your identity, you should really talk about the blind requests for information that the Republican Party has used to burden Amy Klobuchar’s office.

// After all, more than 700 pages have already been provided, and at $0.25 per page, that’s dirt-cheap research for the Republican Party. Isn’t there something in the data practices law to keep organizations from tying up our scarce resources on frivolous research? //

Yep, those requestors should have disclosed they were working as fronts for the Minnesota GOP. Instead they pretended to be regular, concerned citizens.

The GOP has wasted hundreds, if not thousands, of taxpayer dollars on a fishing expedition inside Amy Klobuchar’s office. Instead of fighting crime, the GOP thinks her office should be copying expense reports for them… just so they can have more dirt to throw.
