HATCH’S STORY ON MYSTERIOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO LAC QUI PARLE DFL BEGINS TO UNRAVEL
By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 29, 2006
"Hatch, in an interview Thursday, said he may have urged at least one of the donors — Theodore Deikel, a prominent Twin Cities businessman and a longtime Hatch supporter — to donate to the Lac Qui Parle committee.
'I'm almost positive I didn't call the others,' he said. Previously, Hatch told the Pioneer Press he had asked insurance executive Jim Deal to contribute to the committee." Source: Pioneer Press, September 30, 2006

Imagine how that temper of his is doing about now. I wonder how many threatening phone calls he’s made this morning.
My over/under on when we get the first story about his threats in response to this is 10AM tomorrow morning.

I guess I have a hard time getting too excited about this level of hidden expenditure (from Lac Qui Parle.) Maybe I just automatically expect that a shameless old Democrat hack, like Hatch, will do this kind of stuff–just small enough, so he can say later that he can’t remember exactly why it happened, or who he talked to about it. S.O.P. for a scheming political hack who spends most of his time in the deep dark bureaucratic bubble.
