POWER LINE: “KEITH ELLISON FOR DUMMIES”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 30, 2006

This article from Insight News was posted by Scott Johnson on Power Line.  I encourage the dedicated readers of Minnesota  Democrats Exposed to read Johnson's latest post on Ellison.

The liberal blogosphere will have a very diffilcult time writing Ellison "was never a member of the Nation of Islam, and has never had anything to do with Louis Farrakhan" when there is photographic evidence AND newspaper articles to the contrary.

I guess this HONEST research has left them speechless.

I called your show today and I did’nt think I used the name RITA when posting……..HI again,

Regarding “HELL HAS FROZEN OVER: STAR TRIBUNE’S BLOG HOUSE ADMITS I’M A ‘NICE GUY’

And the rest of the column said:

“Brodkorb is a nice guy. But he’s not credible on this issue. He needs to be upfront about what his blog is.

“And, in light of these facts, to argue that it is anything but a paid advertisement for the GOP is disingenuous at best, and, at worst, a lie. Caesar’s wife should be above suspicion.”

“If Brodkorb is going to make a career out of ‘exposing Democrats’ by twisting their words and concocting half-truths, then he’d best have his house in order.”

“He only disclosed his identity because of a defamation lawsuit. He blogged anonymously from July 2004 to January 2006.”

I think the 375,000 readers of Saturday’s Strib got the true story, compared to the few ‘insiders’ who read this piece of…

You’re the worst of the worse, me boy…you believe what you write is making society better. Rather than discuss issues, you wallow in the muck for money. It is sick and it is sad. I hope your children never look back at this site, for if they do they will feel ashamed.

Sorry I don’t have the time Roving has *or michael* to post comments.

I certainly prefer the Democratic candidates to the Florida republicans.

The Democrats want to get our troops out of Iraq.

The Republicans want to get their pages out of their boxers.

Can you see the difference in focus?

I will offer a word of caution:

I have heard from several of my black bussiness associates and black friends regarding this exposure of Ellison’s apparent continued involvement with NOI.
I am very sad for thhem.
They are stunned and hurt by this information.
It is like surgery for them without anesthetic.

I would hope that the kinder and gentler side of our Republican friends will take into account that this news is hiyyeing many people in MANY different ways.
The content is painful enough. Let us not rub salt into the wounds of our dear friends…jsut because they are black.
Once a bubble is burst…it is even harder to find another.

For all of us who mourned the death of and applauded the accomplishments of Martin Luther King…I remind here that the words…’Keep the dream alive’ is taight in the Minneapolis schools, is echoed in the churches, and stated on the streets.

Granted Ellison is responsible, due to his deceptions, for the need of further searching to bring the truth to the fore…but the messengers must come with a hat in hand and a tear in their hearts for the receivers of the findings.

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

We all exist under one sun, one moon, on one world, with the same air.
And in the words of Junior Walker and the All Stars…”What becomes of the broken hearted?….
They go on to hurt and to hate….

Let’s remember that with the truth to the trusting….comes a broken heart.

I have many sad friends now due to this revelation of truths.
Don’t lie to us anymore Keith…don’t put us in this position as your messengers of pain.

Tell the truth…to the whites and the blacks.
It is a leap of faith. Faith in MLK, and even in Muhammad.
    Faith in yourself.

A nice guy; a nice mud slinger. It’s all over Mikey, it’s all over. Everyone is on to you and your group. If you were a little older you’d undersatnd that you over played your hand. Silly nazi!

  7. Roving Reporter Says:

So, let me get this right. You think heading back to when you think Keith was at his worst, and dredging up an article with the following quote from him makes him look somehow bad?

“”For the record, however, I am opposed to the subjugation of any class of person an account of their religion, national origin, race, sex or gender. I reject anti-jewish attitudes from whatever source.”

I hope someday someonce cites an eloquent statement like this that I may make as the best ammo they have to paint me as intolerant.

    Roving,

Here’s a great quote for you. “I never had sex with that woman.”

“”For the record, however, I am opposed to the subjugation of any class of person an account of their religion, national origin, race, sex or gender. I reject anti-jewish attitudes from whatever source.”

  10. North Shore Says:
    October 2nd, 2006 at 3:05 PM

Sudden changes in political beliefs, like deathbed conversions, are often solely (or sometimes merely largely) attributable to the fear of the consequences of one’s previously held opinions.

An outside observer might be forgiven for questioning the sincerity of the newly expressed beliefs. Any analysis of the truthfulness of the conversion requires review of the expression of belief in light of the actions of the individual.

If the individual has committed numerous acts that contrast directly with the content of the claimed conversion, the conversion is suspect, to say the least. If the individual has not admitted that he or she did such acts, further doubt is cast. If the individual has lied about doing such acts, or has not admitted their wrongfulness, then the conversion is, shall we say, questionable.

Ellison has lied about his affiliation. He has lied about his knowledge. He has steadfastly avoided telling the full story and has failed to correct the story when it is conveniently misrepresented in the press.

Everyone can make his or her own mind up on the truthfulness of Ellison’s conversion, but his bona fides do not look good.
