MDE IN NEW YORK TIMES ABOUT ELLISON

"The campaign has been an indication of the hurdles ahead. The primary turned nasty in May, after Mr. Ellison won the endorsement from the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, as the Democrats are known here.
The press and Republican blogs like MinnesotaDemocratsExposed.com unearthed problems from Mr. Ellison's past. They included late filings of income taxes and campaign finance reports, plus a raft of unpaid moving violations and parking tickets that led to a suspended driver’s license.
Most damaging were newspaper columns that he wrote under the pen name Keith E. Hakim in 1989 and 1990, when Mr. Ellison was a law student at the University of Minnesota. One explosive column defended Mr. Farrakhan against accusations of racism. Conservatives accused Mr. Ellison of having been a local leader for the radical group.
Mr. Ellison quickly apologized for past mistakes. He said repeatedly, including in a local synagogue, that he was distantly affiliated with the Nation of Islam for 18 months while helping to organize the Minnesota delegation to the Million Man March in Washington in 1995.
He said he saw the march as a way to promote personal responsibility and economic development but said he later found it pointless." Source: New York Times, October 8, 2006

Got to love it when the New York Times says:
“Mr. Ellison’s Republican opponent, Alan Fine, has made a concerted effort to discredit him for previous ties to the Nation of Islam, the radical group founded by Louis Farrakhan, but experts do not expect Mr. Fine to pose a serious challenge.”
There is also a line in the story about how Alan Fine’s own brother called Ellison to apologize for how hate-filled his brother was being.
Michael must really need an ego stroke to put this negative of an article on his website. Or, maybe it just shows that even he has abandoned the sinking ship of the hate-filled wife beater.

It’s good that the Ellison issue is getting national attention. The more people learn about the situation, the more it becomes clear that you can’t trust the democrats with our national security.
Could Keith Mohammed-Hakim Ellison ever qualify for security sensitive committies? I don’t see how he could ever get a secret security clearance with his involvement in the Nation of Islam and terror supporting CAIR. If he can, something is seriously wrong.

I figure if the President can get that stuff, and he has ties to CAIR, I don’t know why Ellison couldn’t.
If you want to know why people left of center fear that you are attacking Ellison because of his religion or color, it is because of posts like yours. George and Jeb Bush have each gushed about the important role that CAIR plays in society, and yet you can overlook that to take cheap shots at Ellison.

No wonder we can’t win the war in Iraq. We can’t even spot the Muslim enemies 3-6 million of them here in the USA. Before you call me hate filled, I would remind you that this enemy has sworn to kill me and those like me, Americans, Catholics, Blacks, women, children, you name it. Just because we aren’t Muslim. Will Michigan be proud to learn someday Ellison turns up as a sleeper cell agent?
For an educated black man growing up in America, one has to stop and ask, what did Muslim Religion offer him that he needed and hadn’t already gotten / taken advantage of socially, religiously, community-spirited, economically, or politically that he as a lawyer didn’t already have? Makes me sick!

I’m curious- WILL THE STRIB report on Ellison’s Oct 23rd court date for his stalked/assaulted ex-babysitter?? (As reported yesterday on PowerLine)
I’m dying to know why Ellison assaulted his babysitter in May 2005 leading to a 911 call. Torrid affair? She talked smack to his kids? What, what? Is anyone else curious?

The so called 911 call was by a woman who has been picked up numerous times by the Minneapolis police. Apparently she has been stalking other well known people and has spent some time in a Mental Hospital.

O.K. Kathy, nice misdirection (excuse), and Foley is only an alcoholic. Get with the program. The most pominent World Muslem leaders are preaching Jihad (You really should look this up) against YOU! Their leaders are trying to convince their followers to participate. Jim Jones was able to convince seemingly normal, stable people to drink poison. Are you certain that he is immune to the call of Jihad from their leaders. Can we really afford to take a chance that he will become “More devout” in his own religion? I have fought for and put myself in harms way to protect your right to say what you think, and would gladly do so again (Although I doubt you could say the same [Insert your excuses why not here______________________] Please continue enjoying the freedoms those of us who have a clue provide for you, at least until you folks finish giving it away. Our children deserve better. Your vision of America’s future is unattainable. How about opening your idealistic eyes a bit more than a squint and see the writing on the wall. I am a cristian and have no more animosity toward muslems than dangerous animals. I would never stand in a cage with a hungry tiger, I know it will try to eat me, it is its nature. I will never vote for any official who is a member of a World-wide religion who’s leaders want me dead either. If he doesn’t want me dead, then he’s a crappy Muslem. Either way, it does not bode well for his character. What religion do you practice and maybe Homeland Security should be looking at you. I’ll make a few calls to ensure you are on their radar…

Kathy you couldn’t be more wrong about the ‘woman’ invovled with Keith Ellison.
She is a North side gal who had two affairs with Keith. One when she was 20 and then again when she returned to Minneapolis in 2004-2005.
She has NOT stalked anyome, not even Keith X.
She had quite an affair with him, many others knew it also, including the Mayor and other political people.
Talk about a coverup!!!
This ine is huge.
She was filed on by Ellison when she tried to break up with him and he ruffed her up and she called the police, 911.
I beleive that she consulted with the Harriet Tibman shelter then as I was told by a person who knows her. And it is written about here at MDE and in the Wright Republican Newsletter.
She was threatened by his lawyer and called the police again this year. Another oqq call. Then her lawyer filed on Keith X and the lawyer and they went to court in August this year. Now they return to court on October 23rd with witnesses!
Many, many people saw them together for a long time.
Apparently, as we have been now informed, she was appointed by Kith Hakim Ellison in 2005 to the Minneapolis Capital Long-Range Planning COmmittee in Minneapolis, on her birthday by Keith X and appointed by the Mayor. She is still on that Board.
She is no stalker or nutcase. She is a respected person in the community who has simply not spoken up about all of this but will in court I am to understand.
Apparently Ellison lied about his involvement with her as he did about his incolvement with the NOI.
By the way, you wouldn’t change your name to Keith ‘Muhammad’ if you ertr not involved with the NOI in a serious manner. They are all named Muhammad…check it out!
And remember, Muslims hate the Jews and all Christians. Thier creed states that when they die they will’ come knocking on the Pearly Gates with the skulls of the Jews’
They are not simply handed 72 VIrgins if they kill themselves defending Islam…they are offered 72 rooms with a bed in each one and a Virgin on it waiting for them.
A highly motivated group eh?
Just nuts!
If that is what Ellison supports…it then becomes impossible to support him!

Luckilly for you, there is a cure for ignorance. I think you will be amazed that when you stop getting all your news from radical christian/republican blogs, you will see that there is a lot of fascinating stuff going on in the world, and not all of it is a terrorist plot directly against you.

I’ll assume you’re a woman– I LOVE your hipocrisy!!! I’ll bet you’re a so-called “feminist” who adheres to “no means no” and understands that violence against women is a bad thing. But, you’re one of those “feminists” who automatically blames the victim when it’s politically necessary for you. In this case she was in a “Mental Hospital”. Was she in a mental hospital because she’s had a violent man stalking her? Personally I’d just conceal and carry. But really- Kathy–Nice. I just want to know the story. I want some reporting. I think this is an extremely relevant matter for a candidate who will be making laws. We know (via the unpaid tickets) that Mr. Ellison seems to believe he is above the law and I’m curious if this is the same situation here. You won’t find me defending Alan Fine- sounds like he has some anger management issues and was a hypocrite and idiot for attacking character with his past. But if the Strib does not report this CURRENT Ellison story- and I’m not even asking for a headline on the front page– it’s really wrong. Just wrong.
