DFL SPENDS $25,000 TO BAIL OUT DEAN JOHNSON
By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 25, 2006
According to dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, the Minnesota DFL has purchased $25,000 in radio ads at WCCO to help Senator Dean Johnson.
Today the St. Cloud Times trashed Johnson in their endorsement of his opponent:
"…we simply can't recommend re-electing Sen. Dean Johnson, the DFL majority leader. Two factors drive our decision — honesty and partisanship." Source: St. Cloud Times, October 25, 2006
The DFL party bosses must be concerned that Johnson is headed for defeat.

The funny part of this is that his opponent Joe Gimse has stated when questioned about non factual information that he wrote in letters to the editor, that he believed that causing skepticism was alright and if that meant not presenting the facts so be it. I suppose though since he comes straight out and admits he will lie makes it better.

I have had conversations with probably every member of the Minnesota Supreme Court and each of them has given me private assurances that what the St. Cloud Times really meant is that Dean Johnson is honest and should be reelected.
Dean Johnson, Matt Entenza, Mike Hatch/Lori Swanson (they share a personality), Keith Eillison and on and on. This is today’s DFL.
What a shame.

More lies from Republicans. Why am I not surprised.

I have this strong feeling that tampering with real judges about real possible court cases and his total lack of bringing home the bacon for his district, just might have caught the editor’s attention.

Titus – just one word for you… huh?

Dean Johnson is scum, and not just because he lied to a group of Reverends. It’s Johnson’s grandstanding b.s. and passion for playing games that led to deadlock in St. Paul.
He deserves to be defeated. Handily, I hope.

Brian-
Nice, concise post. Quite a departure from your normal long-winded drivel.
Good job!

Johnson’s lies were a big deal. They call into question the integrity of government.
There was a time in Minnesota when leaders of both parties would have sat down with Johnson after his lies and convinced him to resign. Falsely accusing the Supreme Court of playing politics used to be a big deal that would not have been tolerated by anybody.
I hope voters start rejecting liars. Do we really want liars like Johnson running our government?

The point JOB is Mr. Gimse publiclly told an “un-truth”, yet when approached he feels that it is o.k. and if people want to know the truth they can seek it. Hard to say that he is much better in the “truth” department.

Republicans can dream in la-la land all they want, Johnson will be back after the election with an even bigger majority.

Before you think Johnson’s opponent is so honest check his past and court records, and you will find out many things that Johnson would never have done. Check out real integrity before voting.

Gimse is not a bad guy, and neither is Johnson. Too be far one should check the past of Mr. Gimse because he is running as the family values and morals candidate. Those are high porches to sit on and one better be as clean as Opie Taylor if you are going to run with endorsement.
