KENNEDY CAMPAIGN RELEASES WEB AD ABOUT VALUES

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 25, 2006

###

This is a reminder that I am a part-time consultant to Mark Kennedy’s U.S. Senate campaign. Minnesota Democrats Exposed is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or authorized by any political party, candidate, or candidate’s committee. It’s all me and always will be and I am very proud of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

    This is a great ad!!!!!!!

Now that’s an ad. He clearly stated where he stands on key issues, where Klobuchar stands, and how they are different. Well done. To those of you who disagree with his positions….Don’t vote for him!!! Enough of us agree with him to get the job done.

This is not an ad. This will never run on television. It is way over a minute long and does not include the disclaimer. This obviously some sort of “preach to the choir” GOTV message. (Notice the “God bless” at the end, perhaps they will play this at Living World)

    1. Michael, I urge you change your headline, it is misleading, this is not an ad.

    2. What is the targeted audience for this clip? Where was it distibuted? If it did air in an edited format, what the proper disclaimer included?

I bet this webad is going to be pretty effective at reminding Kennedy’s base that he’s a tried-and-true conservative, despite his headfakes at moderation, but it reminds me how much worse he’s gotten as a candidate as the race has progressed. maybe it’s just me, but he comes off in this piece as stilted, uniterested, and mechanical. you can almost predict those down and to the left head nods on IMPORTANT words. not the right tone to strike if you’re trying to fire up your gotv crew.

    Kennedy – 92% pure Bush.

It took awhile before the wedge issues showed up in an ad. He forgot to put an exception in there for his “life is precious” statement. Maybe he could have added something like “unless you are an innocent Iraqi civilian who must be sacrificed in our unending crusade to root out terror wherever it lurks.”

It’s a solid ad, and should get the rest of Kennedy’s air time.

Klobuchar will be a terrible Senator… although in fairness, not as bad as her “hero” Mark Dayton.

It’s technically a web ad and I have changed the title of the post.

I think BH has developed a good rallying cry for supporters of Kennedy.

This should definately pick up a few votes in Minnesota :) Gay Marriage and abortion are defintaely winning issues here!!

So he’ll get like 85% of the Republican vote, about 30% of the independent vote, and like 2% of the Democratic vote. A perfect combination for a loss.

He forgot to mention that Amy Klobuchar is a Philistine too. Jeez, dropping the ball like that is going to lose Kennedy this election…

If this current disaster of a Congress couldn’t pass the FMA, its for certain a dead issue in the next Congress.
