A MESSAGE FROM MDE
By Michael Brodkorb | October 29, 2006
For the last week of the election, I'll be helping the Republican Party of Minnesota on a part-time basis with internal and external GOTV communications and election day media relations.
Since the ideas and opinions expressed on Minnesota Democrats Exposed are exclusively my own, I will continue this blog.
Minnesota Democrats Exposed is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or authorized by any political party, candidate, or candidate's committee. It's all me and always will be and I am very proud of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

Can you share with us your prepared talking points regarding Kennedy’s loss to Klobuchar. Since you will be doing media relations, we can help you prepare with the spin as to why Marky Mark lost.

I still can’t understand how you can be paid by numerous GOP entities and try to claim that this blog is not connected to your income. Clearly it is.

MB. (Funny, I used to date a girl named MB…)
1. Amy Lied.
2. Mark didn’t want to win, he just wanted what was best for MN….a better Hennepin Co. prosecutor.
3. Voter fraud. (See earlier post ‘Vote early…vote often’)

Alex,
The fallacy is “post hoc, ergo propter hoc.”
Just because one thing follows another does not mean that the first thing caused the second. Michael Brodkorb writes a blog that exposes democrats. He also takes employent for various conservative and Republican candidates/entities. If his conservative consulting business dried up, would he stop blogging? How do we explain the blogging about the Kline/Rowley race, where there is no employment relationship?
There are three possible concerns:
1. Brodkorb is not an objective journalist, as demonstrated by his employment/consulting history. Therefore we should view his assertions through the biased lens of an admitted Republican. [taken care of by his numerous disclaimers]
2. Brodkorb has been given “no work” jobs by various campaigns so that he can blog all day to the delight of the campaigns. [a serious charge, but untrue in light of the facts uncovered]
3. Brodkorb is blogging in coordination with the campaigns, thus making the blog subject to campaign finance reporting and various other laws. [still doesn't explain blogging about campaigns with which he has no relationship]
In short, Brodkorb is guilty of working in politics and also having it as a hobby. At worst, he needs to be more well-rounded.
If people have a specific charge, they should make it. Otherwise they need to quit hinting at things.

[...] This was fowarded to me by a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed who is also a Democrat. I want to correct one item in this email: I am not currently an employee of the Republican Party of Minnesota, nor have I been since November 7, 2006. [...]
