Now that’s funny.
I wonder if they made that sign “reminecent of Jenghis Kahn”?

Wow – even with just a 3rd grade education, our troops can get their message out.
Kerry never apologized – read the transcript!

My favorite part of the transcript….
“One more question, and then, I got to run.”… and hide

that is actually pretty funny. shows they have a sense of humor at least.

With adversaries like John Kerry, who needs friends? Hilarious! I would like to personally thank Kerry for energizing Republican volunteers for the upcoming weekend. Nice job Senator, you’ve done what no Republican could. Jump-start the conservative base.

Love it. Must have been Karl Rove’s idea!!!!!!!!!!
November 1st, 2006 at 2:29 PM
He appologized for telling a “botched joke”… not for insulting the troops… or whoever he was insulting.
Kerry is unfit for command.
November 1st, 2006 at 2:32 PM
Just think of all the failies of the men and women serving who might have thought about voting democRat now looking to honor their children and vote against democRats now!!!
Not to mention all the Republican’s the left was hoping to keep away from voting who will now have new motivation to once again send the left packing as they lose yet another election.

Can a conservative please explain to me the reason why Bush let Al-Sadr stop U.S. troops from searching for a kidnapped soldier? I find such actions as being very unsupportive of our troops.

Skippy. Your facts are wrong. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki ordered the checkpoints removed. Yes, I agree it is a horrible idea. But perhaps he is trying to establish credibility. To show that he runs the country and not the U.S.
We are working with the Iraqi’s and are not an occupying power. If the Prime Minister wishes this to happen, it will.

I’m not sure what to think about this photo. One, I’m upset at Kerry’s insensitive remark. Two, although I understand the sense of outage felt, I don’t think it is wise at all for active military members to say anything that could be construed as insulting about sitting politicians. FWIW, I’m in the Minnesota National Guard right now.

I find that anyone who believes what written in the terrorists favorite tabloid(N.Y Times) to be grossly misinformed and easily fooled.

You will all be mighty proud to know that those are Minnesota National Guardsmen in that photo! They are members of the 1-34 Brigade Troops Battalion of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division. They are headquartered in Stillwater. Yep, I was there with them and I know every one of them in that pic! Good for them! Hooah!

Let’s recall the fall of 2004 when the Mpls Star-Tribune ran an editorial on a Saturday morning showing our veterans as toothless, uneducated, drunking idiots. Wish I had a link to it.
We know how the left feels about our military.
November 1st, 2006 at 3:37 PM
Make that editorial cartoon.
November 1st, 2006 at 3:57 PM
well, you got your apology Michael (et all):

“I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended,” he said in a written statement.
A “written statement”???? What a putz.
November 1st, 2006 at 4:37 PM
And lets not forget the time when Michael went on a rampage, lambasting everyone as idiots if they disagreed with him, saying they would all go to hell. Oh, too bad I don’t have a link to it.
Don’t have a link=never existed. Come on Dave, I thought you seemed smart enough that you wouldn’t just make things up. I am of the left, and other members of my family that are liberals have served. I’m proud, and support the soldiers, but I just think its a waste of human life that they were ever sent there. Over 3,000 American troops have died in Iraq. And the most optimistic withdrawl dates are looking like 2009. Yeah, John Kerry said something pretty stupid, but so many Republicans keep saying, “Bush isn’t on the ballot,” well neither is Kerry, and he doesn’t represent us, President Bush does. Which makes it an issue.

figures.
you’d probably still rip on him if he put a full page ad in every major newspaper in the country as well as buying :30 airtimes in prime time TV.
November 1st, 2006 at 4:55 PM
Did Kerry just issue a written statement and not a televised apology? How can you think this is in anyway sincere?
November 1st, 2006 at 4:56 PM
I think Kerry forgot where he was, for a minute. He thought he was speaking in front of like-minded people as he often does, like Richard Belzer, or like Bill Maher….

Transcript of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, March 17, 2006
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49341
excerpt:
Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen: “Having been in Iraq a few times, and Afghanistan, having met the troops one-on-one with free reign and asking them what they’re doing, they’re saying ‘We’re proud of our mission, we know what we’re doing over here. We don’t want you guys in Washington to lose it over there’. And there is a great sense of determination that what they are doing is making a difference. And yes, it has been an important mission what we’re doing … come on.”
Richard Belzer: “Yeah, come on. Our soldiers now are at …”
Ros-Lehtinen: “Are a volunteer force, a volunteer force.”
Belzer: “Okay, fine. No one questions the nobility and the honor that these men and woman who are serving and what they’re doing. No one questions that. But now they’re targets, they’re not going out. Now they’re just protecting each other and they’re in the middle of a civil war. So it’s really not fair to have these people who volunteered their lives to protect our nation under false pretenses to now be a target …”
[Loud applause for Belzer]
Ros-Lehtinen: “Ask them. Ask them if it’s fair! Wait a minute, wait a minute. My stepson, wait a minute, my stepson …”
Belzer: “That’s bull—-: Ask them! They’re not .. they don’t read twenty newspapers a day. They’re under the threat of death every minute. They’re not the best people to ask about the war because they’re going to die any second.”
Ros-Lehtinen: “Wait a minute! You are talking about my stepson, my stepson who just finished last week eight months of duty …”
Belzer: “God bless your stepson. Doesn’t mean he’s a brilliant scholar about the war because he’s there. And God bless him.”
Ros-Lehtinen: “Oh, you are though! You are though? Okay.”
Belzer: “Well I have more time, I’m not there. My life is not under threat.”
Ros-Lehtinen: “Thank you. Thank you. I’m glad.”
Bill Maher: “I think the point he’s trying to make is that a 19-year-old who is in that army because he probably couldn’t find other employment …”
Ros-Lehtinen: “He’s a college graduate. He’s a Marine officer. He volunteered for the Marines.”
Belzer: “He’s the exception for the rule.”
Ros-Lehtinen: “He’s not the exception for the rule. I’ve been there …”
Belzer: “You think everyone over there is a college graduate? They’re 19 and 20-year-old kids who couldn’t get a job …”
Ros-Lehtinen: “Yeah, you know because you’ve been there and …”
Belzer: “What, I don’t f—ing read!? Don’t do that!”
Maher [to Belzer]: “Woe, woe, woe. Come on. Wait, wait, wait. That … Don’t.”
Belzer: “Pardon my French.”

maybe it’s just me, and my graphic design background, but that pic looks photoshopped…
November 1st, 2006 at 5:01 PM
but it is funny either way i suppose
November 1st, 2006 at 5:07 PM
It took all the Republicans in America and about 50% of democrats to get Kerry to do the right thing and apologize – just imagine what life would have been like if he was king – oh, I mean President, since 2004…..scary.
