As much as I disagreed with Paul Wellstone’s politics he was an honorable man who treated people well regardless of their party affiliation.

Paul and Sheila were unrepentant left-wing whackos but they were people of fine character and integrity. No charges were ever made to teh contrary that I can recall.

Comparing Keith Ellison to Paul Wellstone because they share a fiery charismatic speaking style is where the comparison begins and ends.

I knew Paul Wellstone. Keith Ellison is no Paul Wellstone.

Whatever reputation and legacy that Ellison will leave is wholly up to him, the choices he makes from day to day, and his ongoing unflinching support from the Star Tribune.

Wasn’t it wonderful to have the Star Tribune explain Muslim prayer rituals in the paper today? Can’t wait until they do their big piece on Advent, Yom Kippur,Christmas, Lent, Rosh Hoshana, Easter, The Rosary, Transubstantiation, the Sacraments, etc.

Well then again Wellstone was pretty bad and accomplished very little yet his followers drank so much of the Kool Aid they still think he did great things. They of course cannot name any of the accomplishments, but he “was for the little fella”. So nice to not see him make such a fool of this state any longer.

Some Christians might actually be relieved that he’s not using the bible as his totem of central “best self”. I said might. If he were to swear upon something he does not beleive in that would make his pledge a bit hole-y.

As long as they don’t militantly chant “Allah Akbar” and burn W in effigy afterward I’ll be pleasantly relieved. That would seem a bit out of line to me.

But then again I’m told that I’m a bigot because I questioned, and continue to question, the Congressman-elect’s character.

I pray that Ellison gets his act together and serves Minnesota well. Amen.

I won’t suggest specific passages for you. I won’t give you some phony Readers Digest version or tell you what to think. Just read the Bible, for once. You may be quite surprised at what happens to you.

By the way, Islam also considers the Bible to be a holy book, just as the Bible contains the Torah (which some call the Old Testament). Islam also considers Jesus and, in fact, all the figures of the Old Testament to be holy.

Maybe if you’d actually listen to his show, you’d have first hand knowledge of what he did/did not say. But I guess maybe you were listening to the last gasps of Err Amerika, right?

Poor schools, higher crime, higher taxes and the such are what the folks of the 5th will see for their liberal voting records. What I do find odd is that things just keep getting worse and worse for that arear yet the knuckle heads there keep voting for the same type people and hope it will get better. It never will and will not be long before both Minneapolis and St Paul need the rest of the state to bail them out of the mess they are headed for. At some point the country will wake up and realize just how bad democrats and liberals are and dismiss them from office.

Personally, I like fire chiefs that put out fires and resscue people.

The key line there is the “prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

First this guy snubs the POTUS (no matter if you like the POTUS or not, you don’t snub him/the office as a freshman congressman), then he refuses to swear in on the Bible.
