POGEMILLER CONDESCENDINGLY DESCRIBES ASSISTANT MAJORITY LEADER CLARK AS “ARTICULATE AND PRESENTABLE”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 1, 2006

"Pogemiller said Capitol observers can expect to most often see assistant majority leader Tarryl Clark, DFL-St. Cloud, at news conferences. He described her as an 'articulate and presentable' presence. Clark delivered the caucuses' response to the surplus Wednesday." Source: Star Tribune, December 1, 2006

Ah…the "soft biogotry of low expecations" is alive and well inside the Senate DFL Caucus.

How is this bigotry? And is it a negative to be articulate and presentable? This is where you lose so much credibility on trying to be a media source.

Have you seen Taryl? Have you heard her speak? She is quite presentable. And she can hold her own on the issues. I think you are quite jealous.

Because look in the mirror Michael. Reality is…your are not presentable. You are 30 going on 50 and your rolly polly tummy seems more suitable to play santa this month than political pundit. Or maybe the Grinch cause you are green with envy or attractive people.

It’s a lot like when you are trying to set a buddy up on a blind date and you describe the girl as having a “great personality.” On the surface it’s a compliment but you’re clearly trying to make another point.

..and you end up with a date named Victoria.

    Victoria,

Just because you are insecure with your own size 16 self image doesn’t mean you should insult others.

Michael isn’t saying Taryl Clark is unattactive, he’s merely pointing out the fact that the best Poggie had to say about her is that she has an articulate and presentable presence. Which basically means she washes her hair regularly and can speak in complete sentences — wow what a compliment.

Victoria: wow…I’m not presentable? A bikini wax should help make me pretty for swimsuit season!

T-Clar is very attractive and a very lovely personality as well. She couldn’t have been a kinder adversary when she was supporting Wetterling against Kennedy in ’04. Met her at St. Michael and all I could think was “how do we get a talented woman like this to switch parties?”.

Beauty and brains are a devastating combination. Poor Lawrence just can’t help but sound like a boob when he is describing his attache.

She deserves better than “articulate and presentable”. How about, “Senator Tarryl Clark, is incredibly intelligent, marvelously equipped with personality and poise, and fully capable of putting up with my unintentional albeit unavoidable chauvenistic condescension”.

They make exactly half of a cute couple.

I think Drew has a crush on Senator Clark. How cute.

LOL! Drew, you’re not bad today at all. Funny stuff.

Pogey is Pogey. What do you want?

What is it with these libs that makes them feel it necessary to attack with personal comments like that?

When they can’t defend their position they always attack the writer.

A bikini wax should help make me pretty for swimsuit season!

You’re talking about your back hair, right? :)

Um Victoria, not sure how to tell you this but that smell you think is natural for a woman really isn’t you may want to read up on feminine hygiene.

North, ever notice how liberals will go on the personal attack, but will never do it right to your face or they are sure they have some sort of protection so the person they offend does not reach out and choke them. :)

I find this statement by Porgminer highly objectionable.

All to often I have found my ideas marginalized because of my ruggedly handsome visage and bronzed god body….
