By Michael Brodkorb | December 28, 2006

Over the next four years, these two quotes from Secretary of State-elect Mark Ritchie will be used repeatedly on Minnesota Democrats Exposed

We'll see if Ritchie keeps his promise to be a "non-partisan" secretary of state.

Yeah, but to Democrats, “not partisan” is defined as “with a liberal, DFL agenda.”

Just those two quotes? He promised that in about every press release he put out.

These two are the cleanest quotes I found. If you have other quotes, please let me know.

I’ve heard from 2 people that Matt Dean has already committed to running for State Auditor against Becky Otto in 2010.

Otto was the only House DFL incumbent to lose in either 2004 or 2006. She lost to Matt Dean.
This would certainly be a sweet re-match.

MDE or anyone…have people heard anything about this?

Yeah Chestnut is right! Their idea of NONPARTISAN
is contributing to the Wellstone Foundation and attending CAMP WELLSTONE to learn how to get GOOFBALLS like RITCHIE and “COUNT DRACULA” Tim
    Walz elected !

Don’t you think you’re coming a little late to the “attack Ritchie” party? I mean you didn’t do anything on him before the election, but now you have and want all this dirt on him? either you’re sleeping with Kiffmeyer or your head was so far up Mark Kennedy’s bum you lost sight of the other races. Perhaps you’re just not as good as you thought you were.

[...] August 24th, 2007 • 4:22 am‘Non-Partisan’ Mark Ritchie to Speak at DFL Fundraiser According to Larry Schumacher’s Democracy at Work blog, Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie will be the featured speaker at a DFL fundraiser for SD-14 & SD-15 Democrats. The fundraiser will be held on Sept. 16, 2007 at St. Cloud’s Ace Bar, which is about half a mile from my house. Ritchie has made some statements in the last couple of years that are less than credible once you know more about Mr. Ritchie’s past roles. Here are the statements I’m specifically referring to: “…the office of Secretary of State must operate in a non-partisan manner.” Source: Mark Ritchie press release, June 7, 2005 [...]
