WALZ: DEMOCRATS HAVE NO SOLUTION ON IRAQ
By Michael B. Brodkorb | January 11, 2007

This is exactly the problem. They ran on “our policy isn’t theirs” and they are going to try to govern on “our policy isn’t theirs.” That isn’t good enough.
Walz, while admitting a huge leadership void exists among Dems as an entity, at least is finally honest (recalling he essentially lied his way to Washington).
They have had all the time in the world to formulate a solution to end this war. But a solution doesn’t fit their partisan agenda, so we end up with statements like Walz’s.
I think it was truly disappointing that there was a pre-canned party driven response to the President’s address last night. Winning a war is not a partisan issue.
Yet that is all this is to the Dems, just another partisan issue for partisan gain.
Very sad to begin with, and now we have one of their own saying they have no solutions.

Saw the war protesters out this morning holding their “9/11 was an inside job” signs.
Bush has a plan.
The “9/11 was an inside job” crowd has a plan.
The people who represent the “9/11 was an inside job” crowd, the Democratic Party, don’t want a solution, they want an issue, and Walz’s statement helps confirm that.
Politics is fine to play with some issues. War and peace, life and death; these don’t fit that category.
But that defines the Democratic Party.

So, according to Walz, the Democrats have no solution on Iraq, but they have the ability to create a solution.
My question: WHy aren’t they using that ability?

I’m still betting on the Dems finding some sort of a solution before any of you find any WMDs… shile we’re talking about issues of life and death and how politics and distortion have no place in those issues.

It’s wonderful to know that the Democrats have NO plan, but that in their sacrosanct minds, they KNOW that President Bush is wrong. It’s time for Democrats like Tim Walz to quit their whining and begin coming up with solutions. Democrats love to criticize President Bush, but they are totally unable to come with solutions. What a way for Democrats to lead the nation! I can hardly wait for whatever else they have up their sleeves.

Democrats have no plan on any issue. That is to say, their plan is to complain about every issue.
The have no resolve to solve. Just bitch and whine.

From the “Wall Street Journal,” here is further elucidation concerning the Democratic Party’s abdication of their responsibility as a majority party in the US Congress:

Sure, they have a plan. Oppose anything Bush proposes. Easy, neat, and requires no use of the brain…

and requires no use of the brain…
neither does blindly believing everything you’re told

I’ll be the first right winger to say that things haven’t gone well in Iraq. The Bush crowd needs to do something (last nights speach wasn’t too bad). But don’t vote to support military action and then attack the President while offering no solutions yourself.
Some on the right say that the only way to get Democrats to take the WOT seriously is to allow a Democrat to win the executive office in 2008. Until then, they’ll oppose the war against radical Islam just because they hate Bush.

I think I agreed mostly with the Democrats a few weeks ago when they were calling for more troops in Iraq.
