MDE EXCLUSIVE: SHEEHAN TO MANAGE COLEMAN’S CAMPAIGN
By Michael Brodkorb | January 12, 2007
Cullen Sheehan, most recently the executive director of the Iowa Republican Party, will be the campaign manager for Senator Norm Coleman's campaign. Sheehan is from Minnesota and worked on Coleman's '98 gubernatorial campaign and his '02 U.S. Senate campaign.

This is a testament to real loyalty, dedication, passion and class in politics.
Sheehan was a driver and field organizer for now Senator Coleman in ’98, a leading strategist and Political Director in ’02, and is now back with the Senator to manage his reelection.
Senator Coleman draws this sort of loyalty because he is a great leader and a selfless public servant.
And his reelection campaign is in great hands with Sheehan at the helm, he is a truly talented political operative.
This just makes me feel that much better about Senator Coleman’s reelection.

CT: I couldn’t agree more…

And CINDY Sheehan will be managing Al Franken’s campaign.

Excuse my ignorance in these matters, but may we assume Mr. Sheehan is no relation of the 15-minutes-famous Ms?
From the Senator’s recent pronouncements, I can’t be sure.

Oh snap! From the Headline, I thought I’d crossed into the Twilight Zone, and Cindy Sheehan was managing a Coleman’s campaign!
Now there’s a level of bipartisan ship I pray Norm never reaches!
LOL

They will have a lot of work to do to patch what he has done that last three or four month. He has pissed off alot of republcians me being one fo them. I at this point can’t see my self voting for him. Even if it meant Franken was elected.
Sorry Norm but at this point I can’t vote for you. I know there are many others as well that I have talked too.

His latest comments on the war I don’t agree. Nor the way he went on the live fire exsice by the coast gaurd on the great lankes. There are also others.

As we’ve just discovered, “teaching a lesson” to Republicans by voting for Democrats is going to come back on you like seasick on the bow. I’ll vote for Norm if he’s the only Republican on the ballot. My advice to the discontented conservatives of MN, and there are many, is to find somebody stronger to run against him for the endorsement. Even a good internal battle would smarten him up better than a loss, and be a lot better for us, EITHER way it turns out.

Corporate Norm won’t be able to run away from his record no matter what his new positions are. The net effect of Sheehan’s efforts will be a DFL junior Senator from Minnesota. Might be Franken, might be someone else, but it most definately will be a DFLer. Maybe if Norm switches parties again he’ll stand a chance.

Is Normy running for re-election as a Dem or Republican? It’s so hard to keep up.

Norm is the ideal Minnesota senator. He’s exercised solid judgment, independent thinking and has done a fantastic job representing his constituents… all the while showing true leadership on many national issues.
He has no track record to run from. His record is flawless. And the concerns he voices now are shared by a vast majority of Minnesotans.
No Democrat considering a run will do so from even near such a position strength. It would be a travesty to replace someone of Norm’s caliber with another brain-dead, knee jerk liberal.

Personally, I think Senator Coleman’s re-election campaign got a huge boost for bringing Cullen Sheehan back to Minnesota.
He is a great person with great political insight. Norm is fortunate he is willing to come back and do some heavy lifting once again.

Will Norm be re-uniting with his ‘smokin’ wife for campaign photo ops and rally appearances?
They’re such a great role model for traditional heterosexual marriage.

I’m Shocked. I was thinking Cindy Sheehan but the only link between Coleman and Sheehan is that Cindy Sheehan appears to be writing the columns of Nick “Logic’s retarded cousin” Coleman
