Fat chance!

In response to your “dreamy comment”. Give me a break. Big differences between Reps. Brod and Sieben. Brod clearly has a brain and gets politics. Sieben… well we’ll just say she has a family name.

If we really wanted to do something besides talk, shouldn’t we be trumpeting DFL’s scurrilous abuses of the process, and their wanton disregard for the poor and middle class?

That would be a marked improvement over Michele Bachmann, who lists authorship of TABOR on her resume, but declined a committee hearing on the bill.

You wouldn’t have heard this in teh press but none of the amendments were allowed to even be heard by the DFL majority. Tony Sertich, the new majority leader smugly declared procedural roadblocks under a procedural point of order under “germaneness”. What shoudl have taken 10 minutes took hours as the democrats reneged on their commitment to let the minority voice be heard.

Had Sertich allowed the amendments to be voted upon there would have been an identical outcome without any of the bad faith demonstrated by the reigning majority.

The republicans did an awesome job of trying to make a good piece of legislation even better. The democrats did a great job of proving why they deserve their majority for one term and one term only.

So continues the left’s retreat from the tenants of feminism. She is a mom, though, so I guess that makes her qualified to do or say anything.

While an across the board cut would be preferable, given the DFL tax-and-spend majorities, the middle and lower bracket tax cuts make total sense.

The DFL is always talking about compassion for the poor and the forgotten middle class. Here is their opportunity to put their money where their mouths are, or more accurately, put our money where our bills and personal priorities are.

Has the DFL responded yet to this proposal?
