I fully support the GOP and its placeholders in their efforts to have Al Franken crucified. I don’t like him and I don’t like his comedy. Who does he think he is with his fancy absurdist statements and dry intellectual commentary? Why, I remember watching reruns of late 70’s Franken on SNL…you know what? He was making all sorts of crazy comments and I was like, “You better not run for Senate some day, or else people with no sense of humour who are filled with stupifying indignation and complete blindess to the real issues will use your brand of humor to try to inflame other idiots.” Yep, that is JUST what I said to myself. But seriously, read the full Crimson article and try to claim that Franken was being anything but a complete clown. He was making fun of Harvard, the reporter, the people he works with…everyone. He was joking. Comedians do that from time to time. Duh.

There are many similarities between the Gay Community and the African American Community in this respect.

As communities (although I would prefer to maintain people’s individuality), both blacks and gays vote overwhelmingly for Dems.

And what does it get them? It gets them taken for granted. It gets them a former Klan leader as a Dem Senate leader, it gets them a guy who jokes about killing gays as the likely front runner to compete against Senator Coleman. It gets them failing schools and crime ridden cities and a pat on the head.

Franken has a past and a present and probably a future that Minnesotans should be embarassed to embrace should they choose to do so.

Killing gays is funny Al?

You and the Rev. Phelps should go out for coffee sometime. You probably have a lot in common.

Norm Coleman is an extremely compassionate man, who has a passion to get things done for all people.

Al Franken is clearly a cold hearted stooge. When backed into a corner on these kinds of issues he will lose his cool. Ie, GOP convention 2004.

I don’t think that the killing of another human being is at all a laughable matter regardless of whether you like them at all or not.

If stuff like this can be dug up right now there has to be a ton more stuff out there about Franken. This should be fun to watch, let the games begin.
