Borrow and spend is a tax in the end. The Iraq war is on the National Credit Card witn the bulk of the interest going to political and military rivals like the Chinese and Middle Eastern Oil States. The R's aren't advertising the eventual tax bill to pay for this. On the state level the Gov vetoed the transportation bill passed by R's. The road repair bill will only get larger with more neglect.

Want lower taxes?

MOVE TO INDIANA and leave the bustling state of
MN alone. Or, perhaps you could live in Louisiana, or Mississippi. I hear those places are wonderful! Great schools, healthcare system, I think they lead the country, oh no wait, that's MN. Sorry!

I still can't shake the 'boo birds' coming from the Republican's during Clinton's State of the Union addresses.

So when Bruce states "I don’t remember being aware of this petty behavior on the part of the dem’s prior to the Clinton Administration." Maybe he is pointing out that the Right merely set the standard.

Does anyone know where the Politcal Betting bookie is. I'd like to know the over/under on when MDE starts working for Norm, assuming he isn't already.

I am not entirely certain that I understand the main premis here. If a Democratic governor had stood up and stirringly asked for increased taxes for some popular program, would it have been similarly rude for the Republicans not to stand up and cheer.

Why is it rude not to applaud something that you don't agree with?

At least it's not as bad as Karen Clark standing up and turning her back on him last year.

Nothing scares the DFL more than having to explain to people why they want higher taxes when there is a $2 billion+ budget surplus already.

Fred,

Who are you agreeing with? I didn't see any mention of Bush or Iraq in the string.

Fred's attack -based on the lies that the lefties fill his head with is no surprise.

Fred, you should wonder back to that DU site where your fellow kooks post their conspiracy/black helicopter type comments and were honor is nowhere to be found.

Wow Fred! Way to use an illustration of the growing burden the DFL has and continues to put on working families, to talk about George Bush. But you left out the stereotypical words like Hitler, concentration camps for terrorists and illegal immigrants that you people so carelessly throw about.

That's because Democrats don't believe that one bit. There's not a tax a Democrat can't get behind.

I agree. If you don't agree with the leader, you are being unpatriotic. I mean, Iraq is a perfect example. George Bush wants to compound his colossal mistake by adding more moving targets for the insurgents. Who cares if individual members of the house or senate think this is borderline criminally negligent. In times of war, checks and balances are overrated. They OWE it to our service men and women to allow them to die as patriots rather than live as scoundrels.

The Dem's repeatedly display a lack of decorum. They evidence their lack of respect for anyone that might disagree with them by turning a deaf ear, or refusing to follow accepted protocol. I don't remember being aware of this petty behavior on the part of the dem's prior to the Clinton Administration. It may have gone on, but I don't recall that it was as bad as it's gotten.

They were all afraid to stand up, perhaps fearing that the fellow democrat next to them would reach into their back pocket, extract their wallet and take even more cash away from them.
