I think there’s a world of difference between carpooling to an event with someone (if that’s what Mike did), and not disclosing that you’re being paid to shill for somebody (much less a ranting asshole like Al Franken) (which is what the MNpubis guy did), Jeff.

Jeff: Matt & JD didn’t disclose that one of them was paid by Franken’s campaign while they MN Publius was publishing about Franken’s campaign. JD has now disclosed that he is being paid by Franken’s campaign.

You know, it’s funny, because, let’s just say hypothetically that a certain well-known right-wing blogger was riding to an Al Franken event with a certain GOP party official, and the next day said well-known right-wing blogger trashed a liberal blogger for not disclosing things properly.
