MDE EXCLUSIVE: MINNEAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL MEMBER CONSIDERING CAMPAIGN FOR U.S. SENATE IN ’08 #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | February 21, 2007

I just spoke with Councilmember Ralph Remington and he confirmed information posted on Minnesota Democrats Exposed that he is thinking about running for the U.S. Senate in '08 against Senator Norm Coleman.  Remington said he was "two or three weeks away from making a formal announcement."

I asked Remington if he would be abiding by the DFL endorsement if he ran for the U.S. Senate and responded with an enthusiastic "absolutely!"

I want to thank the dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed for providing me this information.  I also want to thank Councilmember Remington for talking with me.  He was a complete gentleman and appreciate him returning my call.

So some left winger inadvertantly confirms this for you, and then you hear it from the horse’s mouth?

    That’s pretty incredible!

Hats off to you on this one.

Where is all the talk of the Senate’s vote to increase per diems?

You must have at least 15 reasons why you haven’t posted anything on that issue today….

    We learned two things:

    You are credible.

Proven credible, Fred (Roving Reporter) Garvin works overtime to change the subject.

I suspect he’s a paid DFL hack who’s job is to come here and question Michael’s credibility and change the subject whenever the subject is too hot for them.

    Prove me wrong, Street Walker.

Nice try but which “left winger” confirmed it?

Good sir, you are ballsy. I suspect that Michael is the only person here who is actually being paid for his thoughts. Why would the DFL waste their money on COMMENTS on a conservative blog? The only time this blog is relevant is when we see “MDE IN THE NEWS!!!”.

Let me parse that for you: the only people who read this blog are:

    1) Those who have made up their minds (political insider types and nut jobs on both sides of the debate) and

    2) Journalists.

Journalists rarely write about blog entries and NEVER cover blog comments. Again, why would the DFL waste money on Fred’s comments? They have nothing to gain from it.

    Prove me wrong, Angry Partisan.

    Darren

I wish someone from the right would primary Norm, what about Phil Krinkey (SP?)or heck maybe Michelle Bachman…

It seems like Franken and Ciresi will appeal to Marxist Lefties, I don’t know anyting about Remington and Lesch’s views but I can assume they are not conservatives, judging on the areas they represent..
