Of course, if the extent of your political motivation is just winning elections, then it shouldn't matter to you what Richie does - right or wrong. Fair enough. I don't think he honestly believed he would win against Kiffmeyer and that he now has to scramble for ideas. So far, the driver's license = voter registration is the most egregious. Just like counterfeit money devalues legitimate money, fraudulent voting devalues legitimate votes. You don't have to be partisan to see that Richie's 'drivers license' proposal leaves open the possibility of massive disenfranchisement - unless all you care about is winning elections. But, if you care about your vote regardless of which side your on, this proposal should make the case for you. It's bad policy. Period.
