Fair enough. The bottom line, though, is Richie won. So far, he's had at least one really bad idea and shrouded himself in partisanship. Pile on all you want on Kiffmeyer, but Richie has gone way beyond the sacrosanct non-partisan ethos that is the hallmark of the office in just over a month.

Of course, if the extent of your political motivation is just winning elections, then it shouldn't matter to you what Richie does - right or wrong.

Didn't think he could win? I've got it on good authority he couldn't conceive of how he'd lose! Which was good honest confidence the way things turned out...

As an election judge myself, I don't care for some of Richie's proposals. I don't think he honestly believed he would win against Kiffmeyer and that he now has to scramble for ideas. So far, the driver's license = voter registration is the most egregious. Just like counterfeit money devalues legitimate money, fraudulent voting devalues legitimate votes. You don't have to be partisan to see that Richie's 'drivers license' proposal leaves open the possibility of massive disenfranchisement - unless all you care about is winning elections. But, if you care about your vote regardless of which side your on, this proposal should make the case for you. It's bad policy. Period. I've called his office to voice my concern as an election judge and a citizen.

Fred your answers here are border line just plain stupid! Obviously you are a student somewhere who gets a few extra bucks coming to conservative blogs and try to swing things so your liberal base does not look like the fools they are.

I wish I could just cuff you upside the head for each stupid response you give but then my hand would get sore. :)

No surprise with this we knew he was a political hack before he won.

The positive side of it is he will only get one term as he will prove himself a fool long before the next election. :)
