“NONPARTISAN” SECRETARY OF STATE RITCHIE LAUNCHES PARTISAN ATTACK ON MDE DURING AIR AMERICA INTERVIEW
By Michael B. Brodkorb | February 26, 2007
During an interview tonight on Air American, Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie launched a partisan attack on me, live on air.  When asked about a story that appeared in the Star Tribune on Sunday, Ritchie said [partial transcript]:
“…some employee of the Republican Party, Michael Brodkorb, in particular, um…you know are constantly, almost on a daily basis, um, you know, looking for things to attack any Democrat on the street about.” Source: Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, Minnesota Matters, Air America, February 26, 2007
If Secretary of State Mark Ritchie was acting “nonpartisan” like he promised, then he would have no problem with a Republican blogger posting information about his record. This may be the first time a Minnesota Constitutional Officer has attacked a blogger by name in an interview.
I’ll have more on this developing story later tonight/tomorrow morning.

It sounds like he’s just responding to your criticism. Don’t you think that’s a wee bit unfair?

we should get Denny Green to crown MDE.

If you’re gonna crown him, crown his a**.

You are clearly getting under his skin….

Liberals have so many enemies and so little time to assassinate their characters.

Michael loves being the center of attention – again.

Eva’s an idiot. No one loves being the center of (misguided) attention like her.

Republican lap-poodle? check
Attacks anyone, distorts facts? check
Yeah Mike-o, that’s you all right!
Especially the paid employee part. And of such a victorious Senate campaign, too.

You forgot to clarify that you’re not an employee of the Republican party…
That said, you surely are, as Eva said, “getting under his skin.” … that said, snakes shed their thin skin on a regular basis, so it might not be that great a claim to fame.

God forbid any Democrat should have to respond to any type of adversarial press. In this state, that is solely the burden of Republicans.

State of Minnesota, this is Mark. How may I direct your call?
February 27th, 2007 at 1:12 PM
Eva, you try so hard to be in the news and the center of things, and cry when you don’t (ie the church and bachmann).
Eva, when are you going to realize you have little credibility in MN politics. Let Avidor and MarkH do your bidding, they do much more effectively.
I’m sorry, but you lack any charisma and intelligence needed for politics. And medicine is not going to help those areas
