HOLLYWOOD LIBERAL ELITE CONTRIBUTE TO FRANKEN’S CAMPAIGN

By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 15, 2007

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Scores of actors, writers, producers and others from the entertainment industry have contributed to Al Franken's Senate campaign, helping the Minnesota Democrat get off to a strong fundraising start.

Franken, a former 'Saturday Night Live' star who hopes to take on GOP Sen. Norm Coleman next year, raised the maximum $4,600 from actors such as Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jason Alexander and Larry David, according to a campaign finance report filed Friday.

That helped Franken pull in $1.35 million in the first quarter of the year — despite not beginning his fundraising effort until February 14 — just behind Coleman's $1.53 million.

Franken has held two fundraisers in California this year, said his spokesman, Andy Barr.

Other notable contributors include actors Kevin Bacon and Kevin Kline; producers James L. Brooks and Norman Lear; directors Rob Reiner and Jonathan Demme; singers Don Henley and Bonnie Raitt; and actress Jane Curtain.

He also picked up donations from cartoonist Garry Trudeau, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, comedian Bill Maher, Dream Works Studios CEO David Geffen and former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro." Source: Associated Press, April 14, 2007

Can any of these doofesses even find Minnesota on a map? Most likely the only two Minnesota towns they can name are Minneapolis and Fargo.

“He also picked up donations from……comedian Bill Maher”

I would like to ask Al what it is about him that makes vicious anti-Christian bigots love him.

and Norm Coleman got plenty of money from PAC’s, including AIPAC because Norm likes to support the suppression and annhilation of the Palestinian people, GOOOOOO NORM!

    Andrew,

The only thing suppressing the Palestinian people are is terrorist goverment, Hamas, elected by those people. To suggest otherwise shows how ignorant and Anti-Semetic the far left is in America today.

    And Andrew,

Maybe you should read a little bit of history to understand the Palestinian problem, as they call it. The Palestinian people have been victimized by Arab nations for years. This victimization culminated in September of 1970 (the history books call it Black September) when Jordan’s King Hussein forcibly drove the Palestinians out of Jordan (killing thousands along the way) and forced them into Lebanon. The Arab Kingdom of Jordan has done more to murder and oppress Palestinians by far than Israel. Read your history before spouting off anti-Semetic comments.

I could write all night about the so called “Palestinian” people. I have no more sympathy for them then I do for the Nazi’s who had to flea to Argentina after Roosevelts war on Germany.

To me, if you support the “Palestinian” “refugees”, you then support the extermination of the Jew.

Hey, Im not complaing about how Arab countries have treated the Palestinian people Chris, only Israel. The Arab countries dont have a HUGE PAC that funds politicians over here. Essentially, Israel’s AIPAC buys the silence of decent folk who know of the horrible human rights attacks that Israel commits. God politics can be bleak at times…

    I’m not anti-Semetic, I’m anti-Israel, pretty huge difference. I love Jews, they’re nice :)

Israel is in direct violation of the UN and suppresses the Palestinian people on the Palestinians land. It is an occupation point blank period (the UN says so!). Terrorist attacks on Israelis happened AFTER Israel unjustly occupied the West Bank and Gaza Strip because the terrorist attacks where in response to this injustice. I think terroristic bombings are disgusting, horrible and wrong but if Israel would have just follwed international law, they wouldnt be in such a pickle now would they. Really, this conflict could be essentially over tomorrow if the Israelis would give the Palestinians at least the West Bank and Gaza Strip back. Seems so common sense to me….

GOOOOO ISRAEL LOVING NORM! Maybe if I piss off Norm enough he can build a wall around where I live too!!!!

your logic is most idiotic dave of the VRWC. supporting palestinians refugees leads to supporting the holocaust, where do conservatives come up with this stuff.

(the comments were boring today so I decided to stir the pot)

  8. Chuck Says:

Norm Coleman represents Israeli interests, not Minnesota interests.

Why else would Norm have made the crazy statement that “Our commitment to Israel defines us as a nation.”?????

Somebody should do a poll asking Minnesotans if they agree with Norm’s statement. Of course this will never happen because Israelites like Chris would claim such a poll to be anti semitic.

  9. Chris Says:
    April 16th, 2007 at 3:37 PM

    Hey Chuck,

    Sieg Heil!

“Hey, Im not complaing about how Arab countries have treated the Palestinian people Chris, only Israel.”

That’s the problem Andrew. Your outrage is selective. Actually, your outrage is negligent. Arab states have driven the Palestinian people from one land to the next – driving them out like they were rodents or something. Then, when they finally drove the Palestinian people to lands adjacent to Israel, they blame Israel for oppressing the Palestinian people. Where is your condemnation for the decades of terrorist attacks, suicide bombings and murder of the Israeli people? Israel offered Arafat a Palestinian state, freely offering the Palestinians The Gaza Strip and 90% of the West Bank in exchange for recognition of Israel’s right to exist. Arafat turned down the offer and started an entifatah against Israel. Where is your condemnation of that?

Democrats aren’t for the Palestinian people, they are against Israel. Anti-Semitism is alive and well in the Democrat party.
