ROSIE O’DONNELL ON FRANKEN: I’M MAXING OUT MY CONTRIBUTION TO HIM #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 16, 2007

Now that Rosie O'Donnell has expressed her support and "love" for Al Franken's campaign for the U.S. Senate, I'd thought Minnesotans should be reminded of some of the statements made by Rosie.  As I wrote earlier, Franken's campaign should consider not accepting a contribution from O'Donnell.

###

Actress And Guest Co-Host Marcia Gay Harden Called The Phrase "Propaganda." "But even you worded a 'war on terror,' personally that is propaganda. … Don't like the wording of it like that." (ABC's "The View," 3/29/07)

Rosie O'Donnell Agreed: "Exactly, Marcia Gay. Thank you. … It makes people into evil and good." (ABC's "The View," 3/29/07)

"The View's" Rosie O'Donnell Claims Radical Christianity "Just As Threatening" As Radical Islam And Says U.S. "Bombing" Innocent People:

Rosie O'Donnell: "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state." (ABC's "The View," 9/13/06)

Rosie O'Donnell: "And as a result of the [9-11] attack and the killing of 3,000 innocent people, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people …" (ABC's "The View," 9/13/06)

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Most candidates would put this in the “get off my side” category.

But these two are ideological soul mates, so it is pretty difficult for Franken to avoid scrutiny of getting donations from such an extremist as Rosie.

    Who is Rosie O’Donnell?

I wonder how many 9-11 conspiracy theorists have given $4,600 to Norm Coleman…I’m guessing none.

    Rosie and Maher.

Psss, Al, you’re better off without them on your side. Remember that Daschle could still be in office if it wasn’t for Micheal Moore. Remember the hug?

We do bomb innocent people in other countries…

You know, if candidates didnt accept money from candidates because they say stupid things, most candidates wouldnt have much money…

Money is money, you dont say no to $4600. I wonder what lunatics from the right you have donating to Republican candidates. I doubt Norm would return money from Anne Coulter and Anne is only slightly loonier than Rosie.

    You’re funny Andrew. Hilarious!

… yes, go outside the U.S. to see news owned by the government… that’s how you avoid propaganda…

    Good tip Rosie… Wow!

Trump should send a maximum contribution to Norm.

Just a reminder that Al’s constituents — should angry, miserable, unfunny bastard win — will not be Minnesotans.

Tokyo Rosie and Angry Al – a great combo.

We do bomb innocent people in other countries…
    ~ Andrew

Andrew I suspect you are talking about when Clinton bombed innocents while he was in office?

I would guess that is what you meant. I also wonder how you feel about the innocent AMERICAN’s who were bombed in 2001?

Too bad you people care more about your party than this country. If you cared about this country you would recognize the Iraq war was a HUGE mistake and that we will be paying for it for decades (maybe centuries) to come. Because of your strong arm tactics in silencing critics of the Iraq war you are responsible for America’s poor standing in the world. Expect China to be number 1 by the end of this century. It’s your fault that our resources and time are spent on a needless and endless war with people that don’t forget and won’t give up.

  13. Chet Says:
    April 16th, 2007 at 5:19 PM

“…we will be paying for it for decades (maybe centuries) to come.”

And the Earth will come to an end because we’re not using mercury-filled lightbulbs.

Why do liberals always need to create a crisis in order to spew their crap? They’re wrong 100% of the time on these predictions yet stupid people still buy it.

  14. Chris Says:
    April 16th, 2007 at 5:28 PM

Any chance of getting Angry Al Franken to hang upside down in Rosie’s depression chair? That would make for priceless footage in Norm’s commercials.

  15. Chestnut Says:
    April 16th, 2007 at 6:56 PM

    un-American is so funny it’s sad…

  16. Master of None Says:

“strong arm tactics in silencing critics of the Iraq ”

Yes, the concentration and re-education camps for Iraq war critics are nearly overflowing….and the mass graves are getting full of brave truthers

  17. Andrew Engen Says:
    April 16th, 2007 at 7:34 PM

Kahuna, I definitely dislike Clinton bombing innocent people. I dont discriminate when it comes to political parties, I am much more of a peace activist at times than a Democrat, dont care what party you are, killing people isnt okay.

  18. ManGenius Says:

Is anyone REALLY going to vote for Franken?

It just amazes me that anyone takes his candidacy seriously here in MN! He’s an angry D list comic, failed radio talk show host, writer of books on how other people suck and hasn’t really lived here in decades. Now he is enthusiastically endorsed by the dumbest, anti-American, gas bag, loud mouth ever to have a voice on TV.

Can he really represent even the most rabid MN lefty?

    It does not compute!

  19. RamseyRep Says:
    April 17th, 2007 at 12:27 PM

This will be a real winner for Franken.

Rosie, the extremist-liberal, anti-gun Nazi will really help Franken in a state where hunting is a major outdoor activity and where sportsmen and women are a large voting block.

Remember that the downfall of K-Mart started when Rosie pushed for a ban on Gun sales and that may mark the same downfall of Franken.

    Thank you Rosie!!
