"Mike Ciresi is expected formally to declare his candidacy for the DFL nomination for U.S. Senate on Wednesday morning in St. Paul. The Minneapolis lawyer is best known for winning a $6.1 billion settlement with the tobacco industry on behalf of the state of Minnesota and for an unsuccessful Senate bid in 2000."
