It’s time that we turned the heat up on all those involved in this coverup. Obviously, that list includes Attorney General Swanson & former Attorney General Hatch.
In addition to Swanson & Hatch, I think that list must include House Majority Leader Tony Sertich. His refusal to even hold a hearing on this is totally unacceptable. His unwillingness to conduct a genuine investigation reeks to the high heavens.
In short, we the activists must turn up the heat on the DFL’s culture of corruption. We also must state that the GOP stands for reforming government so that corruption doesn’t have a place to hide.
It’s time that we got back to being the party where ethics mattered.

This is excellent. It’s about time someone turned the heat up on that unbearable asshole, Mike Hatch. He was negligent in his duty as Minnesota’s AG, opting only to pursue frivolous litigation to advance his political objectives, and creating an apparent hostile work environment in which the people’s work could not be accomplished.
Bring down the hammer and squash that turd for what he is.

C’mon Chestnut. Don’t hold back. You can tell us what you really think around here. LOL

Imagine if roles were reversed and Republicans were refusing to investigate and Democrats had to submit two data practices requests. Headlines would read DEMOCRATS PRESS ON FOR AG INFORMATION or ATTORNEY GENERAL REFUSES DATA PRACTICES REQUEST or even HOUSE GOP DECLINES TO INVESTIGATE GOP ATTORNEY GENERAL.
Instead, we get silence while the same Democrats bring unbelievable corruption to the legislative process.

I may need to go buy some popcorn for this one.
Hatch was a miserable SOB and it will be fun to watch his lagacy turn to dirt right before his eyes. Thing is he actually thinks he did some good for someone much the same as many believe Wellstone actually did anything.
Both would be wrong but when you are a democRat in this town you get a pass for your failings. maybe not for long as it sure seems the Star tribune is failing all the while Jason Lewis and other conservatives are doing very well. Should only be a matter of time before the truth gets out and the public becomes aware of the DFL tactics here along with their partner in crime the MN main stream media.
DemocRats cannot help but fail, not that they want to but their policies are so flawed and set in non-real world guidlines.
Is there such a thing as “successful” democrat policies? I just cannot think of much that party has done for anyone let alone the country.

Don’t expect an answer from thwonthon. See, hatch and thwonthon both refused computers so there won’t be any e-mails. These folks think they’re so smart in their unscrupulous behavior! Bring a data practices request for the consulting contract hatch has with twonthon. Also ask for the amounts of tax payer severances paid out by them and the attorney fees incurred by their office to resolve their employment issues.

Left field BB is right about email - Hatch doesn’t use it and Lori does so only on a limited basis. They are joined at the hip by cell phone.
Rep. Emmer should also ask for all the data practices requests submitted to the AGO since January and the responses provided. I am aware of one that was sent that never got a response. It asked for certain employment information and salary data.
Wright Co.’s questions regarding a performance evaluation for the Attorney General are a good start, but need to be refined.
Because cases are so micromanaged and projects poorly managed, productivity is not what it should be in terms of enforcement. The office is not as proactive in certain areas as it should be, since it is bogged down in responding to relatively minor citizen complaints. Being responsive is good, but it isn’t the whole enchilada. The culture is such that staff initiatives are not welcomed, either. People are so fearful of losing their jobs that they dare not make suggestions. Lori so hates being in any situation where impromptu conversations might ensue or where she has not anticipated every question and sorted thru five possible answers to choose the best one, that creative thought is totally stifled.
The vast majority of the work is representing state agencies. When an agency is sued, for instance, the AG defends the state agency, as a “state corporate counsel.” Mike Hatch always wanted to inject himself into the policy decisions of the state agencies, which was NOT his perogative. This caused horrible conflicts for the line attorneys who have an ethical duty to zealously represent their clients. Hatch and Swanson have taken the position that the line attorney’s primary responsibility and accountability is to the AGO.
The taxpayers of Minnesota deserve better. She is a very capable woman, but has only worked for Hatch and his attitude was correctly expressed by his daughter in the Letter to the Editor. State employees are dolts and idiots and need a kick in the pants to show up for work, properly attired, in the morning. This is so not true and that people believe it is enormously unfortunate.
