FRANKEN’S MIDWEST VALUES: FRANKEN RAISES MORE MONEY FROM ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY THAN MINNESOTA

By Michael B. Brodkorb | May 8, 2007

According to Al Franken's April Quarterly FEC Report, he raised $248,450 in itemized contributions from the entertainment industry, but only $194,760 in itemized contributions from Minnesota.

Franken is the candidate of the hollywood elite and the entertainment industry.  Over the next week, I'll be examining Franken's FEC report and posting information on Franken's contributors.   I think I'll start with Bill Maher – he's an easy target.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Michael, please post Norms cash also. I’m saying this as a Norm supporter. I want full discloser for him also. Then we can compare/contrast.

    Bill Maher, huh.

I thought Al had some bologna in that video a couple weeks ago about how many Minnesotans donated $10 and whatnot. Sounded like a load then. Seems it truly was.

Just because it didnt come from Minnesota doesnt automatically make it Hollywood elite money.

You’ll find many celebs donating to Al’s MVP and his campaign but I imagine about 80-90% of that “Hollywood Elite” money are from people simply not from MN.

At the HDD, we had some Texans at the Hilton and they were ecstatic to see Franken run.

Andrew, do you read before you spout off. Here, let me reiterate what Michael’s research found:

“According to Al Franken’s April Quarterly FEC Report, he raised $248,450 in itemized contributions from the entertainment industry

All your pathetic attempts at insults will make it an even sweeter victory for Al when your fellow Minnesotans elect him over your beloved Norm “Chameleon” Coleman.

See, you are underestimating the people of MN. They are intelligent and can see behind Norm’s wishy-washy politics. But you wouldn’t know that because these Minnesotans don’t read this BS you call a “truthful” blog.

Apparently I didnt read that thoroughly, my bad. :) The FEC honestly itemizes things in such a manner that it says, this much donated by people in the entertainment industry?

Yeah, that seems totally unplausible and I bet my misreading opinion above is probably correct anyway.

Norm Coleman Wish-washy, o contraire. Norm has constantly maintained an independent stance on every issue. He evaluates issues based upon a governing overall moral sense, how they will affect his constituents, and his previous campaign promises.

If you examine what he said in the first campaign, his voting record and every press release, you will see his is consistent and reliable.

What other Senator has twice visited every county in Minnesota and held open listening sessions with the local public.
