All the career political hopefuls announce the things they are not running for in hopes it will give them credibility on the stuff they are. As though people figure if they were almost good enough to run for Senate they must be experienced enough to be a congressman.

Getting back to Atkins - perhaps he smells blood in the water after Metzen's DWI. After all, Atkins is in the B side of Metzens senate district.

We got this survey call late this afternoon. I told them I was supporting Cynthia, and they asked if I would consider switching to Joe Repya.

When I said no, they asked if I would consider Repya on a second or third ballot.

I tried to press the girl on who was paying for the call. She just said it was a "volunteer call committee."

Good question Alphonso! I'm not sure about the kid Atkins head-butted in second grade (?!?!), but I can assure you that a large number of his House DFL colleagues would support his bid ... if only as a means of getting him out of their caucus, the House, and politics, in general. Atkins and his worthless publicity stunts (the call center bill, the Sha-na-na bill, the ridiculous US senate candidacy) have pretty much established him as the ultimate Me-first member of the House. How many leadership elections has this joker lost at this point? Two? Three? Yeah, he'd do great in a US Senate race. Run, Joe, run.

I received a similar call this evening, as did two other delegates in my area. I have narrowed my choice for deputy chair to two candidates.

The caller was very polite, but they did press me on who I was supporting for deputy chair. When I said the names of who I was supporting at this time, the caller asked if I would consider supporting Joe Repya.

I didn't ask who paid for the call.

Michael, I know you are following the chair's race closely and I wanted to see if you know anything about a polling call that both my husband and I received earlier this evening.

A caller called and asked if I was supporting anyone for deputy chair, I indicated I was not. The caller then asked if I would be open to supporting Joe Repya for deputy chair. At this point my interest is peaked as I am very confused. The caller was very polite and seemed in no way to be in any way partisan.

I really wish that I had asked who payed for the call, but I was so surprised at the content. I did call a few other people in my bpou and a few others did receive the call. I would be interested to see how wide this is and if it may be to targeted delegates.

The idea this nobody was going to run brought a big yawn. Now that he's not going to run is coma-inducing.
