I was interviewed by her. She was completely unprepared AND because she was personally offended by the subject of the book I wrote(anti-feminist) she conducted the interview like a 6-year-old and the had the nerve to ask me for my copy of the book (free) so she could compare it against her “boyfriend” in Chicago.

She’s one of those poor little low level newscaster liberals who thinks she’s really intelligent and it’s so obvious she’s hanging at an IQ of 90.

Very few consrvatives have time to watch the morning news shows or are home from work in time to watch the news at 6pm, and most are in the wrapper by the time the 10pm hits. They may have watched the 9pm Fox show a few times thinking it was worth it but then with all the redundancy and out-there national novelty coverage they opt to read a book instead.

I like the way she says “republican”. Makes me crazy.

That said, maybe I’m more libertarian on this than most, but you should be able to contribute to whomever you want. Everyone knows the media is full of lefties, so this shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I have to take issue with a number of points you make. First of all, I think it’s incredibly ignorant to claim that liberals are more intellectual, open minded and creative than conservatives. Open mindedness, in the current atmosphere of political correctness, is something that left liberals a long time ago.

Second, your claims about Republicans trampling the Constitution are equally absurd. Especially in light of history. Democrats have passed laws limiting freedom of speech in campaign finance laws. (McCain was part of that too to be fair.) They have limited freedom of speech in imposing the so-called “fairness doctrine” and in their current attempt to re-impose the doctrine. Liberals have also limited freedom of speech and thought when passing hate crimes legislation. I’m not saying I disagree with all hate crimes legislation, but there is no doubt that it is a limit on free speech. We don’t have to go back that many years when Bobby Kennedy was wiretapping Martin Luther King, when Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and when they refused to follow desegregation and violated the Fourth Amendment Rights of blacks.

Andrew, you may be a smart, creative, intellectual, erudite fellow, but history is something that isn’t your forte. I would recommend you review the Kennedy and Johnson administrations and their abuses of the Constitution before claiming some false moral high ground on that issue.

You may be on to something here. However, I find Pawlenty’s spokeman to be a bit grating whenever I see him on the news. I wonder if the reporters feel the same way.

What I find distuburing is that TV news has become so pathetically self-promoting and therefore meaningless.

How many times do the anchors refer to something as “breaking news”? How often do they promote their websites? Ever notice that channel 9 cannot go through a newscast without mentioning American Idol?

Stations needed a “team report” to tell us about the recent light rail accident in Minneapolis. If one reporter is too stupid to handle such a simple story, he/she should go to work at Burger King.

“Coming up tonight at ten, we’ll tell you…” No, tell me now, because I am watching now.

Weather people are on the roof and in the back yard. No, no. Just give me the forecast without alerting me to severe weather that might be here three days from now.

They refer to their newscast as a “show”. That’s just plain sad.

TV news is a joke and it’s too bad the people in charge of news at our local stations cannot recognize that.

But to immediate go to the media overwhelmingly gives to the left to them being all biased isnt fair to those who arent biased but still do donate.

I also dont think its fair to say we have intimidated conservatives off of college campuses. I HATE when conservatives bitch about being outnumbered on college campuses and the bias towards the left. You know what, if conservatives would just learn to articulate their points more clearly sometimes, then they would gain a lot more respect on college campuses. Most of them are bumbling idiots who have no idea what they are talking about and that is why we gang up on them in class, because they are stupid. I got ganged up in my philosophy class by seminarians and I didnt bitch and moan, I argued my points horribly one day so I sat down and thought my positions out and came up with better positions instead of whined about it.

And the only reason we “own the news rooms” is because liberal people tend to be the questioning, investigative, creative, artsy people in the world. Hollywood is liberal because they are creative, artsy people.

And ha, Republicans disregard the constituion more than Democrats! Wiretaps, taking away habeas corpus, WANTING TO DEFACE WITH BULLSHIT DISCRIMINATION! Come on, you guys shit on the founding fathers everyday.

Liberals are interested in idealogical fairness about as much as they are in personal freedom and liberty… which is to say, not at all. They own our news rooms, they’ve intimidated conservatives off our college campuses and work in every arena to harass, threaten and oppress opposing viewpoints.

The constitution is a Post-It Note to Democrats. And they have as much regard for it as they do a piece of toilet paper.

The ISSUE here is that Big Media is showing their true colors. When 88% of the people in Big Media contribute to liberal/lefty causes and candiates…this is not just a quirk of mathematics. It shows their bias. Just like their voting patterns, which have been well documented.

You didn’t read the article. Out of the 144 journalists who made political contributions, 125 gave to Democrats and liberal causes while only 17 gave to Republicans and conservative causes.

Moreover, Guy Raz (who works for both CNN and NPR) gave money to John Kerry’s campaign in 2004 while he was embedded with U.S. troops covering Iraq.

I love how she demands she is not shown to be as short as she really is. I have a friend who is also a part of that program and says Alex is known to be a total bitch and if she does not get her way watch out! Typical liberal media person, huge attitudes! Thinks she is just so much smarter than any of the rest of us ravel.

I once gave her grief for a commercail that she was obvisouly standing on a box or small ladder or something because I know she is just SO much shorter than everyone else. I was just having some fun and thought she would just laugh it off or something but she gave me a look like never mention that again. She is a very insecure person and makes up for it by trying to dominate anyone she thinks does not give her proper respect.

Having said that they love to tell us how “objective” and “apolitcal” they are while trying to hide (“Kendall said she opposes the war and thought that her donation was anonymous.”) their political donations from the world…..
