FRANKEN CAMPAIGN CLAIMS FRANKEN “TAKES THE ISSUE OF DRUG USE SERIOUSLY”, YET FRANKEN MOCKED LIMBAUGH’S BATTLE WITH CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 29, 2007

This statement from Al Franken's communications director about Franken taking the "issue of drug use seriously" is becoming less and less believable:

"He [Franken] sprinkled the program with humor and took persistent shots at conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and columnist Ann Coulter, with repeated references to Limbaugh's bout with drug addiction and a recurring bit that had an angry and profane Coulter locked in a studio waiting room." Source: Hartford Courant, April 1, 2004

Franken has mocked Limbaugh's battle with chemical dependency, using it as punch-line.  Franken, who used cocaine and acid, does NOT take the issue of drug use seriously.

Well when it is holier-than-though Rush Limbaugh, him screwing up big time makes him fair game.

    Andrew,

Only someone ignorant would post such a comment. I’ve listened to Rush since 1990 and I would not call him holier-than-thou in any way. Only mean spirited people would try to make an issue out of someone’s suffering with doctor prescribed drugs.
