MDE ON THE RADIO: AIR AMERICA MINNESOTA

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 29, 2007

I've been invited on "Minnesota Matters" this evening on Air America Minnesota.  Yes, you read that correctly – I'll be on Air America tonight at 6:30 p.m..  The show is being broadcast live from the Taste of Minnesota

UPDATE: Due to "technical issues" tonight's broadcast will not be happening at the Taste of Minnesota.

UPDATE #2: Well folks, I survived.  Actually, it was a really fun interview and I want to thank the host of "Minnesota Matters" Mark Heaney and producer Matt Martin (also of MN Publius) for the invitation. I don't agree with their politics, but I respect them for extending an interview to a partisan Republican like me and conducting a fair and balanced interview.

Drew Emmer left a good comment on my blog about my appearance: "we need more discourse in the liberal and conservative media, not less".

I agree and I hope more Republicans will go on Air America and Democrats will be guest on AM 1280 The Patriot.

Do not bother!! he will not give you a fair shake and you know it!!

I just cannot imagine you would accept to be on this fools show!

if you do well he will just cut you off and say his side while keeping you silent.

Please tell me you have opted out of this?!

All you will do is give credibility to a show that has none!

The whole thing goes from 5-7pm. Leading off Rep. Steve Simon and Rep. Steve Smith. Bloggists Michael Brodkorb and Jeff Fecke follow. Reps. Mellissa Hortman and Tom Emmer round out the show.

    Dialogue is a good thing.

    relax kahuna,

first of all 950AM’s signal is limited to between 44th & 46th Streets/Dupont & Aldrich in Minneapolis.

second, Michale can handle himself just fine with Jeff. Any lack of civility will be seen by Minnesota Nice as an outrage

third, we need more discourse in the liberal and conservative media, not less

To borrow a quote, Michael will keep one half of his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair. :-)

I’m a fighter and I’m ready for the challenge.

I will be listening and hoping they play fair.

I wish you luck Michael and do not take any shit from those sissy liberals. :)

You are a better man than me as I do not think I could stand to be in the same room as some of these folks.

is it sweeps week on lib radio?

I recall when Jason Lewis was on KSTP-AM he would occassionally take a day off and let the late Paul Wellstone do the whole show.

A pox did not desend on the generally conservative listeners.

It’s the format of “Airhead America” to call every conservative “stupid” and talk about how popular they are? I have “Airhead America” on the far left button of my car radio. It’s good for a laugh during commercial breaks but come to think about it I haven’t “sampled” “Airhead America” in maybe four months.

Kind of funny with “progressives”. They won’t criticise anything about “Airhead America” but later you they will say “They (“Airhead America”) finally got rid of __________”

    It’s hilarious!

Mark heaney is a mindless twit…. he cannot understand why the state accepts the lowest bidder to provide foodservice at the capitol. He is obsessed with the fact that more over paid union workers are being replaced …. his mantra is i hate republicans …it is always Pawlentys fault….DFLers can do no wrong…and Matt Martin???..what a joke…he does not like discourse on his lame blog….he is the Hugo Chavez of MNPUBLIUS..he thinks Sean Broom is an intellectual

  13. Matt Says:

Someone a little bitter about being the first and only commenter to be banned from my blog?

Sorry Veritas, you know full well that I allow more discourse on my blog than almost anyone else, but “Hey Sean, Mee Moua is a dumb fat Bitch” is not the type of discourse I have any interest in allowing. That, Veritas, is merely hate speech.

I live in St. Cloud and cannot recieve Air America. I am, however looking forward to dialog
with the right wing nut jobs I’ve seen on this
web-site. I’ll start of with the following: I believe that 9-11 was an inside job. One of the big reasons is the laws of physics cannot be changed, at least not yet.
