Yeah, Ciresi has a tough problem. Should he buy the election outright? Or should he try to garner support from those who he hopes to represent.

Franken doesn’t have that problem. He can whore himself at-will to the Hollywood and New York socialists.

Oh wait… no, Ciresi doesn’t have that problem. He can shake down his fellow ambulance chasers in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He doesn’t have to waste his time with Minnesota voters either.

I think he will definitely and I really hope he doesnt. Although, normally I’d be really against self-funding, in this case, against Franken, I’m not so against it. Franken gets to go do fundraisers in NYC and LA and make tons of money, Ciresi has to rely on MN which obviously has a much smaller money pool than NYC and LA.

Ciresi will definitely spend what it takes to win.

If he falls short, he becomes a two-time loser (politically). In short, this is his last chance to win elective office.

What concerns me is that Ciresi will be able to tap into a nation-wide network of wealthy trial lawyers who usually have no problem maxing out their contribution to a candidate.

Combine all this lawyer money with Ciresi’s money and an expected barrage of independent expenditures…and Coleman will have his work cut out for him.

Mike Ceresi will definitely spend some of his own money on his campaign. That’s what he worked to build his fortune for, making his dream come true.

Makes sense to me. Never underestimate a Saint Thomas Academy alum.

The question is more a matter of how much anyone is willing to spend to try to beat a guy with the kind of awesome numbers Norm has maintained.
