By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 19, 2007

According to a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, Americans Against Escalation in Iraq will be protesting at Senator Coleman's home and neighborhood in St. Paul later today.

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on the protest.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Don’t worry he will be at his girlfriend’s house :)

    …or in DC.

I live near Norm’s house. Unfortunately, I’m at work now. Unlike the unwashed protesters, I have a job. When I get off of work (“work” – a term that the protesters are no doubt unfamiliar with), I’ll amble over to Norm’s house to see what I can see. I’ll report back at that time.

Jack, they have a job too. They get paid to protest. They’re professionals. The best a box of donuts and a case of syringes can buy.

Let them go and waste their time. :) In reality no one will give a hoot who was outside his office protesting. The public already knows who the protesters are as they are the same bunch we all got tired of hearing from and about many years ago.

They have zero effect and that makes me smile. :)

Big K, correct. Not sure what they plan to accomplish. They aren’t going to change anyone’s minds. But I guess it is what professinal protestors do.

We should treat them like telemarketers that call when we are having dinner. Get their names, addresses and phone numbers. We can go see them at their homes, too.

The tactics of the cartel driven left are going to cross the line into violence sooner or later.

Grandmas for peace haven’t been at 50th & France lately. I wonder if they found a better corner or got consumed with book club.

Doesn’t AL Frankin live in a downtown Minneapolis condo. Protesters could have “fun” there, especially with the soft condo market.

It seems turnabout is fair play unless Franken openly condemns the “invasion” of “home space”.

With the warm weather the “biddies” have been getting their “weekly constitutional” on Wednesday afternonn at the Lake Street bridge.

In either case, be it Franken or Coleman, it is wrong to protest at a candidate’s home.

Coleman has an senatorial office in Saint Paul and a campaign office as well. Franken, no doubt, has a campaign office somewhere in the Twin Cities.

Go there to protest, not to a candidate’s home.

Unfortunately, the concept of “right and wrong” is alien to the extreme left wing.

Do not worry Drew, liberals have never been any good bullying people on the right. ;) I have gone out with a couple conservative groups as security and the only people the left will try to get physical with are those they believe are weaker than they are. I remember a “flip-flop” incident at the State fair and some fat out of shape mid 30′s tough guy kept poking one of participants and was in everyone’s face looking for trouble. Funny thing is when they come across one who will take the challenge they turn tail and look for police protection. Which was also funny as I had it in video and I could slearly show what the guy was up to moments before.

So they will commit acts of vandalism and have no problem destroying private property but you can count liberals out for any physical violence. ;)

Hard to hit with a limp wrist. ;)

Coleman should just pull the shades and crank up Lee Greenwood’s, I’m Proud to be American so they can all hear it and then send out for pizza’s for the protesters and charge it to the DFL party. A good time for all.

He should also plant this sign in his front yard.

Hey, I totally forgot about the wackos on Summit and…..Snelling? The ones who put swastikas on their signs and compare Israel (aka the Jewish state) to Hitler.

Hey, I think I have an idea of what Ellison can do on his spare time.

Lassie, what do you know of how each war protester sticks a knife in the back of our brave soldiers each time people like you defend them. What have you given up for this war cause, what have you done for those soldiers so far away from home? Join an organization like Soldiers Angels and then get your head out of the sand. I’ll pray for you.

I think Lassie’s sign is intended to mock the protesters LtL…

The choice of a candidate’s home is intended to frighten and intimidate the family of a candidate or office holder. Norm’s wife and daughter are the target.

Terrorize high school girls at their home. That’s courageous.

  19. Big Kahuna Says:
    July 20th, 2007 at 10:59 AM

Liberals have never been courageous! ;)

I cannot think of a group you could more closely compare to terrorist than the liberal left of this states DFL party.

They try to stifle any talk on the other side and use intimidation tactics to try and sway votes.

Oh but try any of that with them and they cry foul like you have never heard. ;)

  20. Minneapolis Moderate Says:
    July 20th, 2007 at 12:18 PM

Sadly, our group of imbicile reporters fell for this publicity stunt and put on last night’s news. Is there anything more pathetic than our local newscasts?

Protest the war all you want, but have enough integrity to offer a solution or two. I agree that it is an unwinable war; but announcing to the world when we’re going to pull out would be like a quarterback telling the defense what the snap count is, or Santana informing the batter what his next pitch will be. Makes no sense.

I agree this is home protest silly, but his wife is not the target. If she was they would be at her home….in California. I wonder if she’s had her picture taken in her underpants lately…
