BREAKING NEWS: ATTACK MAILING HITS IN HD 28B SPECIAL ELECTION
By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 27, 2007
According to a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, an attack mailing has hit against the GOP candidate in the special election in HD 28B. Based on information from my source, the mailing was sent out by either the Minnesota DFL or Linda Pfeilsticker's campaign.
Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.
UPDATE: The attack mailing was sent out by the Minnesota DFL. I'll post the mailing in a few minutes.

This is what Linda Pfeilsticker says on her website:
“It is time for a common sense attitude. It is time to move away from fighting and finger pointing to focus on what we have in common instead of how we are different. It is time to blend social and fiscal responsibility. It is time to put the people of Minnesota first, and that is my ultimate goal!”
That’s funny. Then why have you resorted to sleazy attacks by dragging Drazkowski’s daughter into the debate? Divorces are tough on a family. Drazkowski said he never missed a child support payment. That wasn not enough for you though. You are personally responsible for dragging his personal family life into a month long debate. I hear him talking about the issues, and not your personal family life.

This is almost certainly a hit piece from the DFL House caucus. It’s what they do. They’ll send out piece after piece, lie after lie about the Republican candidate. They’ll make things up about them in a way that, while technically legal, doesn’t represent the views of that candidate. They do this in every special election and they’re very, very good at it. Makes sense to be good at it as that’s all they do – lie.

I HATE negative campaigning.
The sad, sad fact is that it is proven over and over again that it works. Karl Rove is exhibit number 1.
Don’t fool yourselves. Both sides do it. It rarely comes from the candidate. That would be stupid. It comes from the party, a party caucus or an “independent” group. It is illegal to coordinate.

This says alot about where Democrats think this race is. That they’d start the personal attack in the first week says that they think she’s trailing & that her only chance of winning is hurling enough mud at Draz.

Let’s just wait and see what kind of bombs the GOP throws.
Ron Carey has had his a$$ kicked in every election since he took over. I think we all know he’s not going to let this one go without throwing everything including the kitchen sink at Pfeilsticker.

Disgusting. Whoever sent this ad owes and apology to THE ENTIRE STATE for bringing someone’s personal family into a destructive campaign. If the show were on the other foot, you know the media would be tripping all over itself asking the Republican for an apology.
The DFL has brought shame on Minnesota politics.

Ha, Republicans complaining about negative attack ads? Neither side should ever complain about negative attack ads unless they going entirely too far. Pointing out the hypocrisy of a GOP who is all about family values and his lack of them seems a bit below the belt and I’d never do them but I wouldnt call them going too far.

Ron Carey is to busy telling people that Tim Pawlenty would finish 4th if we had instant run off voting to help any Republican candidates.

So what part of it is a lie?
Its more solid than anything I’ve seen thrown at Keith Ellison on here (racist, terrorist, infidelity, woman abuser, anti-semite, etc).
Tell us what part is a disgusting lie?
Did he quit his job to run for a 33,000/yr job? Yes.
After quitting his job to run, did he try to get relief from child support payments because he was unemployed? Yes, as if the child needs suddenly were not present.
Has he campaigned on Family Values? Yes.
Seriously, how is this not an issue and how can you defend this guy?
Forgot about us Libs for a moment and tell me, would you have supported this guy to represent the GOP if you had this information on him? If so, then there is a guy named Olson in Big Lake who is going to need your support too.
This is not good for the Caucus overall. You guys didn’t do your homework.

Lowering the debate to the lowest common denominator… it’s what Democrats do. Worthless, lying assholes…. all of them.

Yeah but we pay our child support and don’t beat our wives.
Actually, since Democrats stay married longer and marry less times than Republicans, we probably aren’t burdened with child support so much.

DJZ, LOL… good one DJZ. There’s nothing that supports that howler.
Democrats kill children, and treat women as nothing more than sperm catchers. Asshole.

ryanT,
You say, “The DFL has brought shame on Minnesota politics.” But actually, the DFL has once again brought shame on itself. Winning at ANY cost is their motto. Civility be damned.
