Reagan was a hypocrite. He said he would get rid of draft registration and then he kept it.

Would you be willing to spread the word about http://www.draftresistance.org? It’s a site dedicated to shattering the myths surrounding the selective slavery system and building mass civil disobedience to stop the draft before it starts.

Hannity was right. Not only did Clinton not keep up with tanks and other armament, he also decreased our Naval fleet from 12 carriers down to 10. The Cold War might have been over, but throughout the Clinton years we saw terrorist attack after terrorist attack and found out that perhaps we could have used a larger military after all.

Answer: Because Reagan didn’t gut our military. He strengthened the overall force, invested in armaments, and drove unprecedented technology innovation and investments that our armed forces — and our economy — continue to use and benefit from.

It’s probably right that comparing the number of tanks ordered ten years and a different security threat away makes little sense. But the fact remains that Clinton nearly destroyed our armed forces.

He cut the man-power in half, and delivered almost zero new equipment. His only achievement as commander in chief was providing foxhole buddies for homosexuals, and launching a couple rockets in to the rectums of camels. … coincidence?

The section the quote appears in deals with Hannity’s book (Let Freedom Ring) where Hannity claims Clinton gutted the military and shows that Reagan asked for 840 new tanks in 1986 while Clinton asked for 0 new tanks in 1996 without referencing the collapse of the Soviet Union’s military and the fact that we didn’t need new tanks might have had something to do with this.

Al shows that Lincoln asked for 188,000+ plus horses in his 1864 budget, but Reagan only asked for 3 in his 1984 budget. The satirical passage that follows asked why Reagan wanted to gut the military and has the quote above.

The entire paragraph is:
Why did Reagan gut our military? Was it because there was no evidence that the Soviet Union represented a threat to the America and our friends and allies? No. (Michael’s quote) Its tagline: ‘Sure she’s easy to meet…but try and forget her!’

If all those touted researchers worked on another Franken tome, I apologize to Al for the besmirchment. I figure I’d better, before he blows a gasket and comes looking for me. He does have anger issues.
