Minnesota's revenue streams are just fine as they are. Mike's got a good point about a potential temporary revenue stream in the case of a sudden, exceptional need for major bridge work. However, there's no such thing as a temporary revenue stream in this state.

I remember when the state sales tax was raised to 6.5 percent to pay for the Metrodome. ... Yeah, that's been paid for now for 3+ years... The tax is still here... alongside talk of raising it even further.

Bonding is probably the right answer. And eliminating ridiculous expenses (e.g. the Shubert theater, Trollwood performing arts theater, more stadiums, and hundreds of other socialist feel-good b.s.).

Also are we gonna get to the bottom of why my spendaholic governor will use any excuse to break his no new taxes pledge. The feds are responsible for rebuilding the bridge. Unplanned inspections should be able to come out of a rainy day fund, now if they find the need to recunstruct multiple major bridges we may need a teporary revenue stream.

It's about priorites not revenues. Transportation, education, public saftey, and the enviorment are the only things tax payer dollars should ever touch.

Whatever happened to the presidential candidate of the week. Also when are we going to here more about the scope? And when will we be hearing more about David Stroms future in the city of Lakes?
