RIDICULOUS: MN PUBLIUS LABELS COLEMAN’S FUNDRASING EFFORT THAT BUILDS A $2,000,000 LEAD OVER FRANKEN AS “CONSISTENTLY COMING UP SHORT”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 10, 2007

MN Publius made a whopper of a claim yesterday that Norm Coleman's fundraising efforts are "consistently coming up short of Al Franken’s…". Once again this week I'll set MN Publius on the right track.

Coleman outraised Franken in the first fundraising quarter, with Franken raising roughly $300,000 more than Coleman in the second quarter of 2006.  Coleman's fundraising strength over Franken is best shown by the fact that Coleman has over $2,000,000 more cash on hand in his campaign bank account.

Only in the liberal blogosphere is a fundraising effort that builds a $2,000,000 lead labeled "consistently coming up short." Ridiculous.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Perhaps MN Publius thinks that this is part of Franken’s strategy??? LOL

Well, it is a liberal site… and liberals don’t know shit about economics, reality… or much of anything.

They like to make stuff up and lie constantly, but that’s not really a substitute for substance.

    Mike–

Could it be that Norm Coleman has a 5 year head start in fundraising that he has a 2M lead?

How is your buddy Ron’s fundraising going?

The lefties just cant help themselves from attacking Norm for having a fundraiser with the President.

They actually picture Al in jeans and connecting with regular folks. It really is cute that they believe Al is not a poser.

Al will rake in money from NY, LA and Mars. Norm will have plenty of money as well. Unlike the Klobuchar race, the National $ will be here for Coleman as well.

Why? Because Franken is not a serious candidate and we need serious people to be running the Government right now.

Agree with Sean, Franken got to start fundraising February 14th when he announced his candidacy, Coleman started raising the day after he won his first election, like 4 years before Franken announced.

The fact that Franken is outraising Coleman means that that 2 million COH lead as of now will be shrinking.

    Seriously, what a dumb post…
