The good news is that survival of the fittest works in a capatilistic society. The likes of O'brien and Katie Parry won't have jobs long if they only kiss the dems' butts. They are so predictable I could write their propaganda.

If your a GOP/Conservative blogger like MIKE you have to be 1) A pretty good reporter and 2) a small businessman/entrepreneur in order to survive! If your a Liberal/DFL HACK like TIM O'BRIEN, all you have to do to pick up a paycheck twice a month is to facilitate the smearing of Republicans ! Keep up the good (and TOUGH) work MIKE !

Chestnut, Chestnut, Chestnut... Why would that stop anyone on MDE from using a quote just because no one ever said it. Isn't that the whole topic of this thread?

I don't know pd, that quote -- nor any form of it -- doesn't exist anywhere on the internet. That doesn't mean nobody said it... but it increases the likelihood that nobody did.

To add to my number 4.....Algore said that the reason Venus is hotter then earth is due to carbon in Venus' atmosphere. He said it had nothing to do with it being closer to the sun.

I made a trip to Duluth this weekend...channel surfing the radio both ways. Duluth public radio was holding an Algore lovefest on the way up (100.5 FM). Coming back tonight, a Twin Cities MPR station (I think..91 something) was doing the same thing.

Using the DFL thought process, wouldn't our money be better spent repairing bridges then funding pagen earth worshiping stations that MPR runs?

Don't worry about two-bit "journalists" like O'Brien. He'd love to have his little column read by as many people who check this blog on a daily basis.

Stay vigilant, MDE.

Like every other theory advanced by liberals, global warming is also falling down... newly release NASA temperature data shows that 1998 wasn't the hottest year on record after all... and the current "warming trend" is now no more dramatic than any other in history.

"1934 is now the hottest, and 3 others from the 1930's are in the top 10. Furthermore, only 3 (not 9) took place since 1995 (1998, 1999, and 2006). The years 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 are now below the year 1900 and no longer even in the top 20."

I anticipate we'll be hearing about global cooling (again), soon.
