CIRESI SLAMS FRANKEN DURING KFAN INTERVIEW

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 29, 2007

"…I have the experience and I've done things for Minnesotans for over 35 years. Al Franken has not done that. He's talked about it, but I've not only talked about it, I've done it." Source: Mike Ciresi, KFAN interview, August 28, 2007

###

Ciresi's statement raises a good question: what has Franken done for Minnesota that warrants him being elected to the U.S. Senate? If you're supporting Franken's campaign, please leave a comment about what Franken done.

###

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Franken has done nothing for Minnesota. He did his whole PAC last election cycle to raise money for DFL candidates (which is for the DFL not for MN) but that was self-serving, he gets to look like he cares about this state and its candidates when he really just wanted to get name recognition (more cant hurt) and to meet the people who would be nominating for the DFL side of the ticket.

    He hasnt done shit.

He made abortions for rape victims funny, right?

Umm…He brought us all laughter with that cinematic masterpiece “Stewart Saves His Family”…oh, wait, that movie was a steaming pile of dog crap. Al Franken for Senator (of California)!!!!

GLD: He did…Franken joked about abortion and rape.

The best thing Al Franken did for Minnesota was leave. The worst thing he did was return.

Andrew’s 100 percent correct: “He hasn’t done shit.”

But he did do a lot of coke.

  6. Elton Says:
    August 29th, 2007 at 2:21 PM

    Did or does coke?

  7. Andrew Says:
    August 29th, 2007 at 7:51 PM

    Did coke.

  8. Skipper Says:

Are you kidding? He’s done exactly what Hillary Clinton did for New York when she first ran.

  9. Brian Says:

Yeah CIRESI did so much for MN. Like screwing us out of millions of tax dollars in his tabacco lawsuit. Then funneling money back to his buddy Skips campaign for Governor(payback). I thought KFAN was a sports station not the new home for Air America?

Well, no positive responses yet. I guess that means no one can think of anything he’s done for Minnesota…because he hasnt done anything for Minnesota.

Brian, since when does having a liberal candidate make a station Air America? Especially considering that T-Paw is on KFAN just about weekly at this point. He gets the same softball questions every other politico gets.

  12. Brian Says:
    September 1st, 2007 at 12:58 AM

Maybe the fact that almost everyone on KFAN is a liberal. Even Paul Charchian jokes he is the only one on there that voted for President Bush. T-Paw is more of a rino.

Most of KFAN’s guys don’t talk politics. When they do, they are about as moderate as is possible (especially Bareirro, who vacillates on everything). When people like you call KFAN liberal, it reminds me why I don’t take accusations of a liberal media seriously.
