KTLK INTERVIEW TONIGHT FROM 4:30 TO 5:00 P.M.

    By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 5, 2007

Representative Marty Seifert is filling in for Jason Lewis tonight from 4-7 p.m. on KTLK.  I'll be on with Seifert from 4:30-5 p.m. to talk about blogs and the U.S. Senate race.  Representative Phylis Kahn will be on from 5-6 p.m. as a representative of the DFL House Caucus.

Now this will be a show I could get into! Would love to hear you and Jason talk as well. Would be even more fun if you and Jason could get Mark to come on that show and beat his liberal views to death. :)

God help the people listening to Seifert whine and act like a 12 year old tonight:)

Which is still what 6-7 years more mature than our current DFL leadership? ;)

Oooooh, Syphyllis Kahn! She gets me hotter than watching Sarah Janecek and Carol Molnau jello wrestle.

There’s just something about a woman with horn-rimmed glasses, wool socks, and birkenstocks.

Well, considering the Democrats have the maturity of a 2 year old, Seifet is definately a step up. And Phyllis a representative of the left? LOL oh wow, the dems have really struck rock bottom if she’s representative of them as a whole.

      September 5th, 2007 at 3:29 pm

Seems to me Seifert proved to be a much more effective leader than either of the Dem leaders (Anderson or Sertich)in the House. His “whining” was clear, concise, and easy to understand by the layman. Get a life, Durango.

Is kahn the one who got caught stealing campaing signs? Would make sense as most on the left need to stifle other idea’s since they cannot argue the merits of what they stand for.

Please be every rude and nasty to Kahn as she would you if you went on Anti-Air America. :)

    8. Chuck Colson Says:

Who is “anti-air”? I like air, I use it frequently.

I’ll get right to the point. Irritable carousers don’t think like you and me.

So, without further ado, I present you with this all-important piece of information: Mad Marty has a natural talent for complaining. He can find any aspect of life and whine about it for hours upon hours. On balance, his anecdotes amount to what a proverbial metaphor in Sanskrit describes as trying to extinguish a fire by feeding it enough wood to glut its appetite.

Still, most people don’t realize that he has already revealed his plans to start wars, ruin the environment, invent diseases, and routinely do a hundred other things that kill people. He revealed these plans in a manifesto bearing all of the hallmarks of having been written by a homicidal pip-squeak.

Not only is his manifesto entirely lacking in logic, relentlessly subjective, and entirely anecdotal, but Marty has nothing but contempt for you, and you don’t even know it. That’s why I feel obligated to inform you that he frequently avers his support of democracy and his love of freedom. But one need only look at what he is doing — as opposed to what he is saying — to understand his true aims.

There is no place in this country where we are safe from Marty’s intimates, no place where we are not targeted for hatred and attack. Help me carve solutions that are neither sex-crazed nor wretched. Join your hands with mine in this, the greatest cause of our time.

Charles I would very much like to be your tin foil salesman! :)

Good lord man, can you even write that tripe with a straight face? ;)

I could write a very angry post right now about the GOP, but I decided instead merely to express some constructive criticism. The full truth of my conclusion I shall develop in the course of this posting but the conclusion’s general outline is that it seems that no one else is telling you that the GOP wants a central organization for its international world swindle, endowed with its own sovereign rights and removed from the intervention of other countries — a haven for self-absorbed, distasteful lowbrows and a university for budding sick, worthless slumlords.

So, since the burden lies with me to tell you that, I suppose I should say a few words on the subject. To begin with, the GOP will stop at nothing to impact public policy for years to come. This may sound outrageous, but if it were fiction I would have thought of something more credible.

As it stands, if the GOP had lived the short, sickly, miserable life of a chattel serf in the ages “before technocracy” it wouldn’t be so keen to tear down all theoretical frameworks for addressing the issue. Maybe it’d even begin to realize that whenever anyone states the obvious — that the truth is not meant to be warm and fuzzy — discussion naturally progresses towards the question, “Why is it that 99 times out of 100, its vassals form a noisome organization devoted to harassment and barratry?”

I mean, if you think you can escape from its domineering sound bites, then good-bye and good luck. To the rest of you I suggest that whatever your age, you now have only one choice. That choice is between a democratic, peace-loving regime that, you hope, may shoo the GOP away like the annoying bug that it is and, as the alternative, the wretched and bloodthirsty dirigisme currently being forced upon us by the GOP. Choose carefully, because if we don’t soon tell the GOP to stop what it’s doing, it will proceed with its benighted publicity stunts, considerably emboldened by our lack of resistance. We will have tacitly given The GOP our permission to do so.

To simplify, the GOP needs to stop living in a fool’s paradise. Nevertheless, I can state with absolute certainty that I, speaking as someone who is not a sanctimonious, peremptory gasbag, plan to foster mutual understanding. This is a choice I have made; your choice is up to you.

But let me remind you that just because the GOP and its pals don’t like being labelled as “barbaric lackwits” or “antisocial clodpolls” doesn’t mean the shoe doesn’t fit.

The GOP should take a step back and look at everything from a different perspective. But let’s not lose perspective.

The GOP should clarify its point so people like you and me can tell what the heck it’s talking about. Without clarification, the GOP’s whinges sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don’t really seem to make any sense.

It may seem to many people, maybe even the majority, that the GOP’s projects are an icon for the deterioration of the city, for its slow slide into crime, malaise, and filth.

The GOP’s initiatives are as power-drunk as they are an insult to human intelligence for a variety of reasons. For instance, the GOP has a glib proficiency with words and very sensitive nostrils. It can smell money in your pocket from a block away. Once that delicious aroma reaches the GOP’s nostrils, it’ll start talking about the joy of elitism and how those of us who oppose it would rather run than fight.

As you listen to the GOP’s sing-song, chances are you won’t even notice its hand as it goes into your pocket. Only later, after you realize you’ve been robbed, will you truly understand that when people say that bigotry and hate are alive and well, they’re right.

And the GOP is to blame.

Keep all the cutlery away from Charles H.

      What a boob!

I’ve admitted in the past here that I’m not as politically astute as many of you. Therefore, I don’t know much about this Seifert. But after hearing him on the radio, I like what I heard. Seems like a common sense, no nonsense guy. He’s probably a bit more conservative than I am, but I like his style.

Folks, I think we’re on the right track.

    18. Common Sense Says:
      September 6th, 2007 at 12:00 am

I know Marty Seifert personally and he could be anybody’s next door neighbor in any part of this state. And Democrats and Republicans alike would like him. You would never know that he is the GOP leader of the MN House. I don’t think you could say that about any DFL legislator, let alone DFL leader. Could you see Poge living anywhere outside of Minneapolis without him sticking out like a sore thumb?

Marty cares about the state. Dems seem to care about their special interests. Marty offered his suggestions to improve our schools today and didn’t have to run them by Edu MN first. Marty complained alot on the floor last session because the Dems were completely out of control with their new found power. They should have taken heed. The Dems in the House looked like a complete joke in the last hour and a half of session. That should be required viewing for voters.

The MN GOP and all Minnesotans are in good hands with Marty Seifert. The level of liberal disgust is reason number one for that.

    19. Common Sense Says:
      September 6th, 2007 at 12:26 am

And I agree with Minneapolis Moderate (if there is such a thing). Charles H is a boob. I can’t believe he even exists. He’s like a cartoon liberal. Makes me question the fate of mankind. I’d get more flowery with my words but I’m more direct than Charles and all his flowery and completely idiotic statements.

Fun show! Boy did the callers make kahn look like a total fool! :) Call after call busting her chops over her vote record and her stance on issues. Always fun to hear a liberal totally taken apart on their views.

I will say I was surprised kahn was able to take it and did not walk out. More often than not a liberal will not even show for debate let alone stick around to get blasted at every turn.

I’m so happy you posted here Charles. I look forward to seeing your proof that I’m sure is as crystal clear as your powers of logic.

Michael is there any way we can get the program posted? I would love for all to hear how Kahn was beaten over and over for her views. The best was the black poor woman who called to blast her about how the democrats claim they are for the poor tey do nothing about it beside raise taxes. Which she was smart enough to understand we all will pay for their tax increases one way or another. :)

Kahn was truely upset that she was hearing this from the people she would claim support her all the way. ;)

    25. Charles H Says:
      September 6th, 2007 at 1:26 pm

You won’t hear about this in the media, but a plan of rational reaction to Tim Pawlenty’s shell games is in order. To address this in a pedantic manner, factual information will be prefaced as such and my own opinions will be clearly stated as opinions.

For instance, it is a fact that Pawlenty’s subalterns aver that his pleas epitomize wholesome family entertainment. This is precisely the non-equation that Pawlenty is trying to patch together. What he’s missing, as usual, is that he used to complain about being persecuted. Now Pawlenty is our primary persecutor. This reversal of roles reminds me that he says that he has answers to everything. What balderdash! What impudence! What treachery! (Yes, the spirits of our ancestors grieve as they watch Pawlenty inaugurate an era of uncouth exhibitionism, but that’s a different story.)

I don’t know if I speak for anybody but myself on this, but Pawlenty’s secret passion is to fund a vast web of mentally deficient slumlords, loathsome troublemakers, and the most meretricious shirkers you’ll ever see. For shame!

As if you didn’t know, the problem with Pawlenty is not that he’s baleful. It’s that he wants to provide the pretext for police-state measures. I’ve never bothered him. Yet he wants to force women to live by restrictive standards not applicable to men. Whatever happened to “live and let live”?

Yes, Pawlenty maintains a cozy relationship with headstrong scum, but here is the point that is worth considering: Only the impartial and unimpassioned mind will even consider that his claim that he understands the difference between civilization and savagery is not only an attack on the concept of objectivity, but an assault on the human mind.

Most acts of ethnocentrism are committed not by diabolic, satanic slaves to fashion but by Pawlenty’s acolytes in an attempt to convert lush forests into arid deserts. No wonder that some people think I’m exaggerating when I say that Pawlenty is wrong. But I’m not exaggerating; if anything, I’m understating the situation.

I can’t stress this enough, but if Pawlenty thinks that he can make me react violently, then he’s barking up the wrong tree. What he is doing is akin to painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

      That’s the theory, at least.

But in practice, I am not up on the latest gossip or flimflam. Still, I have heard people say that he likes crotchets that enact new laws forcing anyone who’s not one of his followers to live in an environment that can, at best, be described as contemptuously tolerant.

Could there be a conflict of interest there?

If you were to ask me, I’d say that I am indisputably sticking my head far above the parapet. The big danger is that Pawlenty will retaliate. He’ll most likely try to force us to feel disconnected from reality, although another possibility is that we must keep the faith.

If we fail in this, we are not failing someone else; we are not disrupting some interest separate from ourselves. Rather, it is we who suffer when we neglect to observe that Pawlenty deeply believes that the world’s salvation comes from whims, irrationality, and delusions.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the truth is very simple: Pawlenty’s goal is to defy the rules of logic. This is abject incendiarism!

Chucky H has produced as much documentation and facts as he has crab people but he has, of course, seen them all.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. God put crazy people like Chucky on earth for my personal amusement.
