DEJA VU: STAR TRIBUNE REPORTS AGAIN THAT WALZ HAS TAKEN NO POSITION ON OBERSTAR’S PROPOSAL TO RAISE THE GAS TAX
By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 6, 2007
"The tax increase proposal is not an easy sell, even among Minnesota Democrats. Freshman Rep. Tim Walz, a member of the House Transportation Committee, has taken no position." Source: Star Tribune, September 6, 2007

A few weeks ago, the Star Tribune reported that Walz had not taken a position on raising the gas tax. As I wrote before, I wonder why Walz hasn't announced his position yet. Remember, Walz still tries to masquerade as an "independent leader" for southern Minnesota.
Walz is on the House Transportation committee, but he hasn't taken a position yet on raising the federal gas tax. What a political coward.

Nancy Pelosi hasn’t told him what his position is, yet.

Walz is an absolute joke! The obly folks happy with him now are the far left liberals who are just happy with who he replaced, not that he does a great job.
DFL = the party of hate, whatever it takes to shut the other side down no matter the effect on the state.
Was so very fun last night to hear Rep. Kahn get blasted on KTLK by a woman who called in, clearly and black poor woman who went on and on about how the DFL keeps talking a good game but the do nothing for the poor as thay claim they do. To hear this woman go on and on about getting taxes lower so she can buy what she needs instead of Kahn ond company taking all the money in the form of taxes and then she has to beg for some back.
I hope the DFL has prescriptions on the ready as i am seeing 2008 being a very bad year for our local DFL.

If Walz wants to make a good impression and win next year, he should say “the gov’t is awash in cash. I am going to re-prioritize the spending.” Then he should give an example that will play well in Southern Minnesota. Like the new very expensive pool the Fed’l gov’t built at the GLBT rec center in California (no linky, but it was in NRO a couple of months ago).
Or if he really has balls, go through the cataloge of the U of M and talk about some of the bullshit majors that the taxpayers are funding.

Big K, what do you mean the DFL isn’t doing anything for poor urban types? They are trying to put Wal-Mart out of business. Oh, wait. That will force them to pay more for their stuff. Nevermind.

Not sure if you listened or not dave but it was just wonderful to hear Kahn get so upset because she was just veing torn apart. She is a shoe in for her district every time, but I am very sure the political climate is changing and I think the DFL had their last successful election for a while.

There’s a good reason why George Bush received more black votes in each of the last two elections than any Republican had previously. … it’s not because blacks love G.W.
It’s because black’s are wising up to the fact that the Democrats and their racist policies have suckered them for the last 35 years. They’ve tuned in to the fact that Democrat pandering is just that… pandering. Democrats have only delivered generations worth of enslavement to government programs and bureaucracy.
Black’s want opportunity. They’ve figured out that the racist policies of the Democrat party have done nothing but take opportunity away. And they’ve had enough.
