MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “KLOBUCHAR CONDEMNS MOVEON.ORG SMEAR OF GENERAL PETRAEUS; WILL MOVEON FAVORITES FRANKEN & WALZ FINALLY END THEIR SILENCE OVER VICIOUS ATTACK ON GENERAL’S PETRAEUS’ PATRIOTISM?”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 20, 2007

St. Paul- Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey today called on MoveOn.org favorites Al Franken and Tim Walz to explain where they stand on the far-left group’s vicious attack against General David Petraeus after the U.S. Senate voted overwhelmingly to condemn the attack ad.

"Now that Amy Klobuchar has strongly condemned this vicious smear against General David Petraeus and the U.S. military, it is past time that MoveOn.org favorites Al Franken and Tim Walz  finally end their conspicuous silence.  By refusing to stand up to the far-left wing of their Party and denounce this ugly attack, Franken and Walz demonstrate they lack the kind of judgment and integrity Minnesotans demand."

Klobuchar & 71 Other U.S. Senators "Strongly Condemn" Hateful MoveOn Attack

Klobuchar Condemns MoveOn.org Smear.  “To express the sense of the Senate that General David H. Petraeus, Commanding General, Multi-National Force-Iraq, deserves the full support of the Senate and strongly condemn personal attacks on the honor and integrity of General Petraeus and all members of the United States Armed Forces.”  (U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 110th Congress – 1st Session, Vote Number: 344, September 20, 2007)

About Tim Walz & MoveOn.org

MoveOn Has Boasted About Flooding The 1st CD With Phone Calls For Tim Walz.  “‘On Oct. 19 we saw a poll that showed Tim Walz was closing the gap. Within a few days, calls were pouring into Minnesota's first district. That's what makes our program “liquid,”’ said Eli Pariser, executive director of MoveOn.org Political Action.”  (MoveOn Press Release, November 2, 2006)

“MoveOn-directed contributions also propelled several Democratic challengers to House victories, among them: Nick Lampson, Texas' 22nd District, $156,883; Tim Mahoney, Florida's 16th District, $145,334; Zack Space, Ohio's 18th District, $141,298; Michael Arcuri, New York's 24th District, $129,685; Joe Donnelly, Indiana's 2nd District, $123,035, and Tim Walz, Minnesota's 1st District, $102,657.” (Major Garrett, MoveOn Gravy Train Makes and Breaks Political Fortunes,” FoxNews.Com, September 18, 2007)

Amy Klobuchar deserves credit for doing the right thing in this regard.

Where are the rest of the Minnesota delegation on this issue?

Oh you should see how upset the democRat underground is over this! :)

I just love it!! All of them were so excited to get Amy in and now they are all sour about her not towing the leftist liberal line.

Notcie all the democrats who did vote against this… the typical A-list of hate America first total leftist liberals. I notice Biden and Obama were too chicken shit to even vote.

Brave Hillary though is one who voted against it. However we know Hillary does not dare upset the MoveOn folks. ;)

Anyone seen the numbers for Air America Minnesota (KTNF) on the latest arbitron? There is only one station doing worse than them. http://www.radioandrecords.com/RRRatings/

Funny because to listen to the hosts on air they want all who listen to believe they are gaining listeners. ;)

I get a kick out of their ads saying the only station telling the truth. ;)

Like how well they are NOT doing in this market. :)

Since I blasted A-Klo for blaming President Bush for both the 35W bridge and the levee breach, I must congratulate her here. Thank you. I see Kohl (D-Wisc) voted with the majority, while Feingold (Moonbat-Madison) voted with MoveOn.org.

Amy has had two votes lately that have not endeared her to the moonbat left.

I’ll commend her on her FISA vote and on this vote. (but I still don’t like her)
