    Michael,

What do you think of Jeff Johnson’s editorial in today’s Star Tribune?

Johnson’s editorial was sad in that he’s treating the County Commissioner job like it’s a pasture for used politicians. You should be commissioner because you want to serve the County, not because you lost to an inferior opponent. Workman did the same thing (albiet his reason for running was more parochial) – We all know he (Johnson) just wants the gig because it’s safe, pays an obscene salary, and because he wants to create a legacy of something other than losing to Hatch’s gofer.

This is all Jeff said about the County Commissioner job. “I am committed to my campaign for Hennepin County commissioner.”

How do you possible extrude “he’s treating the County Commissioner job like it’s a pasture for used politicians.” from that one line.

I know the reason Jeff is in politics, and it has nothing to do with salary or legacy, it’s all about two boys named Thor and Rolph. You don’t know crap.

Jeff would be an excellent commissioner and has shown during his time in office that he is one of the more honest elected officials this state has had. He also has never abandoned his conservative principles–unlike other elected officials.I don’t understand the tirade, Chuck.

Jeff Johnson has done nothing to deserve anyone’s contempt.

Jeff is an honorable man who served this state well as a representative and would have been an excellent AG had the republicans in Minnesota been committed to winning that race.

If you personally know him and have something credible to say about him have at it. Anyone who pans JJ obviously does not know him.

That has to be the smartest thing Drew Emmer has ever said in this forum lol.

They don’t get any better than Jeff Johnson. Jeff is: dedicated, intelligent, forward-thinking, solution-driven, creative, realistic, hard-working, selfless, thoughful, I could go on and on…

    …. and conservative.

Jeff Johnson is super great. So was his editorial.
