Steve Murphy is a partisan hack who should have been sent packing years ago. I live in his district and he has done nothing for my end of the district.

Wonder if Steve Swiggum could be coaxed out of retirement to run against Murphy.

Why is it every time we need something investigated we always seem to get a lawyer instead of a suitable professional, like an accountant, detective, or engineer? I hear “lawyer” in these situations and I think “cover up” or “witch hunt” as they are seldom skilled in the actual activities being audited. Add “DFL” to the above: times two.

If we need another investigation, hire an engineering firm and let them hire lawyers if they need them.

I looked for information on this Joint Legislature Bridge Inspection Committee – I wanted to see if my rep served on it. I think it would be interesting to sit in on a meeting or two if I can break away from the office some day.

I can’t find anything about it at the legislature’s website. No word of who is on this committee at all. The committee is not even mentioned on the page that lists the committees. What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

If Molnau goes then so should Steve Murphy be gone.

He has more experience than anyone in St. Paul on the transportation issue. He is every bit as culpable as Molnau.

What a joke, anyone who does not believe that the bridge incisent is all the DFL’s fault as we know the roads and bridges have needed the work for decades but like to spend money on transit and social programs. After all that is what gets them votes, not roads and bridges.

Why wouldn’t the DFL Leaders just let the feds complete their investigation?

Are they afraid that Pawlenty and Molnau might not be to blame for the tragedy? Granted, democrats would have egg on their faces if the feds attributed the collapse to factors out of the governor’s control.

I don’t get why they would hire a novice to duplicate what the experts are doing.
