BURN, BABY BURN: TEAM FRANKEN CONTINUES TO BURN THROUGH CAMPAIGN MONEY
By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 4, 2007
Team Franken has released their preliminary October Quarterly fundraising numbers and they have continued their record of spending money like drunken sailors.
According to Franken's July Quarterly, their ending Cash On Hand (COH) was listed at $1,952,153. The preliminary reports from Franken's campaign is their October Quarterly report will list a COH of $2,450,000.
Team Franken raised approximately $1,890,000, but only added an estimated $500,000 to their account. Team Franken spent over roughly 70% of what they raised last quarter. Team Franken has spent around 50% of what they have raised for the entire cycle.
What does Team Franken have to show for their spending spree? An abysmal favorable rating of 27% among Minnesotans.

This news must drive DFL activists (and donors) crazy.
He can brag all he wants about raising a bunch of money, but it doesn’t do him a damn bit of good if he keeps burning through it like this.
Any release his camp puts out today will ring hollow.
Bad quarter for the Franken team, no matter how you spin it.

Let’s keep track of where these little ferrets who
are picking up a paycheck from FRANKEN go after he
is out of the RACE ! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF AMORAL RATS AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT ANY CAMPAIGN OR 501C3 that hires them is a SLEAZEBALL OPERATION !

That is incredible mismanagment. I’d be pissed if I were an Al Franken Donor. Maybe he thinks the election is this November, not next.

He has to keep spending as he knows full well how un-electable he really is but still wants the DFL nod.

I can win this WIDE OPEN race with 300k and have money left over and this is why.
#1 I created the best prescription drug plan in the country and can prove it.
#2 I EXPECT over 90% of the Wellstone vote.
#3 I expect the non-voter vote and the Independent votes.
#4 There will be die hard RNC members who are only republicans because of Pro-life issue’s. I will get their votes.
#5…do I need to go on? I have another 15 very good reasons.
…and look here, there are alot of complex issue’s that need solving.
I feel I really shouldn’t have to bend over backwards in this race.
Why should I? The facts alone speak for themselves.
Do I care if I don’t get elected? Of course not. I am the perfect person for the job and if no one realizes or cares, Why should I?

ROFLMOA, you won’t be the next Senator. And you’ll be lucky if you get anybody to vote for you except for yourself.

Broom, you would get only 90% of the Wellstone vote?
Seems to me that you insist that the state of MN give the wellstone family $100,000,000.00
One would think that should get you 100% of that vote.
Broom-Wellstone will be lucky to get 5% of the looney left vote.

[...] I've posted before about the rate at which Team Franken is spending campaign cash, but $900,000 on fundraising consultants in one quarter is big chunk of money. [...]
