MN GOP SPOKESMAN: “AL FRANKEN IS THE MOST MEAN-SPIRITED, POLARIZING CANDIDATE EVER SEEN IN THIS STATE”
By Michael Brodkorb | October 11, 2007
"Minnesota Republicans continued to hammer away at Franken following a Star Tribune poll released last week that found 34 percent of respondents had an unfavorable view of Franken, while 27 percent viewed him favorably and 29 percent don't know him. That compares to 35 percent who viewed Coleman unfavorably, while 52 percent viewed him favorably and only 4 percent don't know him. 'Al Franken is the most mean-spirited, polarizing candidate ever seen in this state,' said Mark Drake, party spokesman, referring to past statements he said Franken made in books and on the radio. 'College graduates and people with some college education view him especially unfavorably, so I guess he's doing what he can to fix that.'" The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

In other words, Smart People don’t let Smart People support Al. As usual, uber-libs like Angry Al feed off the dumbest people in the State for support.

The downside will be if the DFL doesn’t nominate Al, which means he’s been a useful distraction and the GOP is carrying the water for Ciresi, et. al.
On the other hand, he’s a fun target. And it doesn’t hurt to tar the entire DFL caucus with the Franken brush… he is after all, their conscience.

If MArk Drake says it, it must be true.

Zack, at least the party has their own talking points instead of cutting and pasting from e-mails from the Franken campaign. You guys at MNPoohblius don’t even post original, or exclusive content, you just bitch a lot and sweat Al Franken like’s he’s the second coming of Christ, but with cash this time…

Everything that any educated voter thought or knew about Al Franken’s “candidacy” is finally coming to fruition.
The guy is so out on the fringe left when it comes to the serious issues of the post-911 world that it just makes you sick.
Similarly, like to listening to a John Edwards stump speech.
I can’t say that I blame Franken for trying to win a Senate seat in MN. F’n carpetbagger.
The truth is that there are plenty of MN voters that are just stupid enough to vote for him because he is “Al Franken—the dude from SNL.”
Yes, Moonbats—I’m calling you stupid.
Need proof? Wellstone, Pogemiller, Kahn, Lourey, Kelliher, Murphy….and arguable the biggest idiot of them all: Mark Dayton.
Frankly–it makes a good case to re-institute a poll tax.
Not based on race or ethnicity by any means–but to require a certain amount of education.
Maybe we could turn around the excessive spending and illegal immigration catastrophe if folks understood what the hell the real ramifications are when they go to elect their leaders.

Sounds like Gop Optimist is the one bringing the mean spiritness???
October 11th, 2007 at 2:14 PM
Whoever this is that opines by the screen name of Minnesota’s Next US Senator—simply needs their head examined.
If this is the James McBroom guy, enough said.
And you’re right, I’m ready to bring the mean spiritedness because I have the balls to stand up to Mpls DFL Moonbats and tell them when they are wrong.
Line ‘em up–and I’ll knock them down.
Conservatives will win the debate every time because logic, thought and reason always beats emotion and the “what-it-should-be” political view.
Need more proof?
Put Newt Gingrich on a stage debating any MN DFL politician.
Who do you think comes out the winner in the debate of intellect vs. the politics of pessimism?

Speaking of debates… “What about Poland!”

I tip my hat to Mark Drake and MDE.
Drake is a close second to MDE in terms of exposing Minnesota Democrats. Both continue to remain vigilant in the face of intense, misguided scrutiny from the left. The angrier the left gets, the better and better, Drake and MDE perform.

LOL, Broom is calling others mean spirited when I have a bunch of screen prints of him calling me every nasty name in the book? LOL
October 11th, 2007 at 8:11 PM
For the record I stand behind what I said to you 100%
You brought the hate 1st, on the very first MDE article about me.
October 12th, 2007 at 3:32 AM
Nope, I stated a fact. By the way Broom, everybody else said you were nuts too. They’ve also repeated that sentiment since then. So why is it I’m the only one you call every four letter name? You make Franken’s crappy meanspirited demeanor look tame.
October 12th, 2007 at 8:22 AM
Too bad Broom is so nuts that he will not even realize how much he was rejected by the voters.
Broom is crazy enough, but how about the few folks who do back him?
One must wonder what kind of medication it takes to think Broom has any mental stability at all.
October 12th, 2007 at 8:33 AM
Broom is insane and stupid.
October 12th, 2007 at 9:41 AM
Liberals, Democrats, and so-called SPs (social-progressives) look in the mirror and consider just what it is about a “liberal” agenda that makes logical sense?
Liberals are too often swayed by their emotions, and not logical, rational analysis–from Global Warming to Earth Day.
The only explanation for liberalism is that is must be mental disorder–there can be no other explanation.
October 12th, 2007 at 5:00 PM
BK, lol better watch out Broom thinks when you called him a Kool-aid drinker you were supporting him.

[...] As Mark Drake, the Republican Party of Minnesota's spokeman always says "Al Franken is the most mean-spirited, polarizing candidate ever seen in this state." I completely agree. [...]

[...] Mark Drake, communications director for the Republican Party of Minnesota, frequently says that "Al Franken is the most mean-spirited, polarizing candidate ever seen in this state." Franken has proven Drake right. [...]
