What is the implied connection here by MNpublius supposed to be? Does he think the fundraiser makes decisions about spending?

The Finance and Political operations are two seperate functions within campaign organizations with different people making decisions about how the money is coming in and where the money is going out.

Is MMpublius implying that Lee was calling the shots in both? How silly and ignorant.

Very lame posting on MNpublius. Lee is an excellent hire for Erik and knows how to raise money. He is putting together an incredibly strong team.

[...] Erik Paulsen announced his first staff hires today. One of them is Lee Birkhold, who will be Paulsen’s Chief fundraiser and who ran the Minnesota House Republican’s fundraising efforts last cycle. During her time with the House Republican Campaign Committee, the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board cited the HRCC for making an illegal contribution to Austin Blees, failed candidate for the seat of Mary Ellen Otremba.
