TEAM FRANKEN STAGES PHOTO OPS IN DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO SOFTEN FRANKEN’S MEAN IMAGE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 23, 2007

In a desperate attempt to soften his mean image, Al Franken participated in a SEIU Minnesota State Council's "Walk a Day in My Shoes" program.  Franken was scheduled to work "alongside Certified Nurse Assistant and SEIU Healthcare Minnesota member Ulysses Bridges" during at a nursing home earlier today in Robbinsdale.

Franken had previously said we should "shoot the elderly into space" as a way to reduce the deficit. I wonder if Franken's mean comments were mentioned by any residents.  Did Franken discuss his plan to "shoot the elderly into space" while conducting his rounds with Mr. Bridges?

I'm not sure if the release was sent out by Team Franken, or SEIU, but it sure restricts the media and forces them to cover staged photo ops:

"No photographing, video taping, or interviewing of residents will be allowed outside of the media availabilities listed below. Media will also be provided with an overview of the “Walk a Day in My Shoes” program.

Team Franken has their work cut out for them. Their candidate once said we should "shoot the elderly into space" as a way to reduce the deficit.  The only was they can improve his image is by organizing staged photo ops with seniors to soften his mean image.  Minnesotans will not be fooled by Team Franken's staged photo ops.

Thank goodness one of the Senate candidates is talking about the space program.

Well you know… first you learn about Franken… then you learn about the hate he’s spewed… then you see a picture… then you see how he behaves… as an out of touch, asshole.

“No photographing, video taping, or interviewing of residents will be allowed outside of the media availabilities listed below.”

Don’t you think this could have something to do with respecting the privacy of the residents? I was just at a nursing home over the weekend, and they had signs up saying that they prohibited all cameras, including camera phones, without expressed prior permission from the management.

What!?! A candidate having a photo op? Where’s the outrage!?! and he’s even standing with union members… how dare he!!

    Whoknows?:

I’d say it far more likely that the residents don’t want any photographic evidence that they ever met Angry Al. I certainly wouldn’t.

Besides, most of these residents (Al’s latest victims of his Angry-palozza tour) are more interested in watching reruns of Lawerence Welk than listening to some dope-snorting “comic”.
