SCHOOL LEVY FAILED, BUT NOT ACCORDING TO SECRETARY OF STATE RITCHIE’S WEBSITE
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 7, 2007
Above is a screen capture of the ISD-197 election results for two levy referendum as posted Secretary of State Ritchie's website. As you can clearly read on Ritchie's website, with 100 % of the precincts reporting Question 2 passed with 50.19 %.
Actually, Question 2 failed. The above picture is from the Star Tribune's website. I also visited ISD-197's website and the correct election results are posted on their website.
Not only does Ritchie's website post the wrong result, the total votes don't match. Ritchie's website claims the results shown on his website are with 100% of the precincts reporting, but Ritchie's numbers are wrong.
I was contacted by two taxpayers from ISD-197 who were very upset that Secretary of State Ritchie's website listed the wrong election results. If Ritchie's office can't publish the correct election results, how can we trust him to oversee our elections?
Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.

Luckily Ritchie had time to update his campaign email list before making sure his official website worked.

Just another example of why MN voters need to stop buying into the DFL lies of how good their people are.

you got to understand everybody at the Secretary of State’s office is too busy getting email addresses to give to the campaign staff to care about their offical duties.

no, no, no, you misunderstand. Mark Ritchie posted what SHOULD have happened in their grand scheme…..Since most of them live in a dream world, the results are probably just fine as far as they’re concerned. I will never trust this website again, until we get a conservative back in there. Remember, if it’s not close, they can’t cheat!

IS anyone else growing increasingly worried about the accuracy of the results of next year’s elections?

Looks like the glitch has been fixed. Considering the nightmare we’ve had to deal with under the former SoS I felt this election went amazingly well.
Thanks, Michael, for confirming what most of us know already. And that is what a significant improvement our new Secretary of State has been.

Nice try Flash. Incompetent is the best word to describe Secretary of State Ritchie. Here’s another way to say incompetent: Brownie/Ritchie, you’re doing a heckuva job.

“nightmare” ?
You got some sort of example to go along with your hyperventilation?

Well, you ccan start by reading from one of your own on the Right:
http://alwaysrightusuallycorrect.blogspot.com/2006/11/why-kiffmeyer-should-not-be-re-elected.html
Here’s a snippet, referring to the former SoS:
ELECTION RESULTS…STILL INCOMPLETE
An issue that is covered in the next section is odd-year reporting…or lack thereof. However a part of that issue falls under Kiffmeyer’s failures regarding timeliness. In 2001 general election results were not immediately reported (and a minor note…it seems some precints still have not reported). Why?
This site is presented as a pilot for local elections. Only certain counties are participating in this pilot.
And in 2003…
The Office of the Secretary of State is reporting election results for selected local elections held November 4, 2003 as part of its pilot to advance local election information and results reporting.
OK, 2-4 years so far for the “pilot”. And for 2005…well, the pilot must be over. And the result is…? Either the pilot was a success and 2005 should have reported out-state results or the pilot was a failure and the claim “Minnesota is among the first states to pilot real-time election results reporting to the precinct level for cities and school districts” is falacious. Either way it has been a year since the 2005 elections and NOTHING has been reported.

You can Google the rest yourself.

Flash: Please keep comparing Ritchie to Kiffmeyer. You’re making my point for me.

As of midnight last night- there were no results at all posted for ISD 272 School Board- the Strib had them up, but not the SOS website- Unbelievable use of tax funds- can’t even get election results!!

That’s a “nightmare”?
How do you sleep at night?
You did agree with this portion of your link though, didn’t you?
“Charges of partisanship in the SoS office should be taken seriously by voters…and the defense should be more than, ‘wa-a-a-h, the attacks are just partisan’. Even if you accept that the charges are partisan it does not automatically mean the charges are false…and a SoS that uses a “two wrongs make a right” arguement are too childish to be returned to office.”
I’m sure you do.
