NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE: “…THE STATE’S DEMOCRATS APPEAR HELL-BENT ON NOMINATING A GUY KNOWN FOR BEING FUNNY WITH A 27-PERCENT APPROVAL RATING”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 12, 2007
"The Democrats are likely to nominate a comedian, Al Franken, in a blue state seat in Minnesota. With a real candidate – even with your standard issue Democratic House member with some serious legislative accomplishments – Republican Norm Coleman would be seriously vulnerable. Instead, the state’s Democrats appear hell-bent on nominating a guy known for being funny with a 27-percent approval rating. (Coleman’s at 52 percent.)" That’s an exaggeration. Who has ever known Al Franken to be funny?
We’ve known him to try to be funny. We’ve known him to be angry. I can’t think of anyone who’s known him to be funny though.
The approval rating might be a bit high too…

It is funny how angry he gets though.

Years ago when I saw him on Saturday Night Live I thought he was funny. Maybe as I grew up and became more of a common sense conservate than I thought I was that might explain why I thought he was funny at one time.
Of course if the Democrats get a brain like Ann Coulter suggests they might figure out they have a better chance to win if they nominate somebody else.
