MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “DFL PARTY ROLLS OUT RED CARPET FOR JANE FONDA; CONTROVERSIAL VISIT BY FONDA FOLLOWS VETERANS DAY OBSERVANCES”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 13, 2007
"The DFL Party's decision to celebrate an anti-veteran lightning rod like Jane Fonda again demonstrates just how far out of the mainstream Democrat leaders in this state have become. Rather than honoring Fonda, the DFL Party should be denouncing her vile anti-veteran past." – Ron Carey, Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman
"Special Guest" Jane Fonda To Appear At DFL Awards Ceremony
"A new women’s Leadership Awards Program created and designed to recognize women as civic leaders, is a combined effort of the Democratic Women Leadership Coalition and the DFL Feminist Caucus. The first Annual Awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 3:00 PM in room G-15 of the Minnesota State Capital and is open to the public." (DFL Feminist Caucus Website, Accessed November 12, 2007)
"Academy Award winning actor, writer, and political activist Jane Fonda is the special guest and featured speaker who will help launch this Annual Leadership Awards ceremony and reception." (DFL Feminist Caucus Website, Accessed November 12, 2007)

The Democrats remind me of road rage drivers.
Road Ragers attempt to try to get even with what they think is an offending car by driving with blinders on, disregarding the other cars on the road. All in an effort to get even.
Democrats are so focused on Bush that they think the only way to get even is to pull people in who believe in the losing “Surrender and defeat” policy they have invested in. Regardless if they offend the military or military supporters.
In the end the road rage driver gets pulled over by the police. In the end the Democrats will be pulled out of office by the people.

“They are who we thought they were.”
Time and again, the actions of the Democrats speak much louder than the lip service they make in “supporting” the troops.

RamseyRep, that is the definition of Bush Derangment Syndrome. Where your hatred of the President is so intense, it causes you to do irrational things. Like the pickup I saw on the road a couple of months ago….they guy had printed out some things on 8×11 pieces of paper (attacking Bush) and taped them to the windows and back of his car.

I find her nationally embarassing, and personally repulsive. She is harmful to our nations security…not because of her opinions…but because she crosses the line into traitorous actions. She is an insult to the armed forces.
I spent 22 years in the Army defending her right to speak. But not when she crosses the line into traitorous behaviour. And that she has done.

Who the hell cares, Bush didn’t even have the guts to be in DC lay the wreath on the tomb of the unknown to honor our soldiers!
He let the guy who was “too busy to go to Vietnam” do the job. What a disgrace.
It’s funny how Republicans love the soldiers when they are fighting in the field, but couldn’t care less about them when they come home. This administration is a disgrace.

So what is your policy about lying? Do you consider lying part of the right of free speech? Is it ok to lie by quoting a lie, knowing that it is a lie?
The issue comes up in

Heights, you lying ignorant moron… Bush was in Texas paying respect to soldiers who’ve fallen in this conflict… that’s acceptable.
BTW — Vietnam was almost over when Bush was in the Air Guard….
Don’t let facts get in the way of your stupidity.

Nothing says: “We support our troopsâ€â€¦ like bringing the bitch who stood with our enemies out for a speaking engagement.
Ah, what the hell. Why to the Democrats even pretend anymore. We all know they hate our soldiers, and want America to be destroyed by our enemies…
Next thing you know, they’ll nominate a traitor like John “I conspired with our Vietnam enemies while serving as a naval officer” Kerry.
This is nothing more than exhibit 4,314C.
Beyond that, what has Jane Fonda done to be considered a “Leaderâ€â€¦ she married rich (she and John Kerry have a lot in common), acted in some movies, and produced some exercise videos…
Beyond that, that silly whore doesn’t deserve to call this country home.

How was I lying, Bush wasn’t in DC! He was down on vacation once again at his ranch (someone needs to clear that brush ya know!) Sure, he did stop and talk to a few vets, but his regarded the day as an afterthought and didn’t afford the veterans’ the respect the commander and chief should. It’s not surprising seeing how he has mismanaged nearly everything possible in royal reign.
I didn’t say anything about Bush and Vietnam, I said it about Cheney who had “other priorities”.

Dave, I think I have seen the same car around town. What a complete nutjob, to take the time to print off anti-Bush messages to tape them up in your car takes a level of insanity that I think is unparalleled by even the staunchest of Bush critics. They somehow still seem to amaze me everyday.

To make matters worse – the other person they’re celebrating at this event is Coleen Rowley who posted a picture of a Marine Colonel dressed in a Nazi uniform on her website…what a disgrace.
November 13th, 2007 at 12:55 pm
Dave and gopgal,
Uh, was that the truck that had something to the effect of “I hated Bush before it was cool” taped to the windows? If so, I recall seeing that truck as well. Sick.

And what exactly is Rep. Kate Knuth getting an award for? Funny, the website isn’t very specific.
Answer- Because she is one of the few freshman or sophomore DFL House members not to get a committee gavel or major leadership title in the bloated structure that the DFL set up.
She’s a 20-something with only one session under her belt in a vulnerable district, so let’s fill her arms with meaningless awards and get her some great photo ops for her campaign material next year!
November 13th, 2007 at 1:57 pm
The hubris of the DFL is galling….Hanoi Jane, sweet.
November 13th, 2007 at 2:07 pm
Kate Knuth with Jane Fonda is a great photo op…for Republicans!
November 13th, 2007 at 2:09 pm
Heights, the only thind disgusting are morons like you. Your BDS is so severe you couldn’t see objectivity if it bit you in the ass. If Bush is taking time to visit with families of wounded and killed soldiers, that is just exactly what he should be doing. If he didn’t you would be bitching about that too. Turn off your disgronificator – the news from Iraq has been positive for the past few weeks and by all indications, it will remain that way or get better. You and your kind of surrender monkeys are enough to turn a rational person’s stomach.
November 13th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
Yeah, John Kerry’s photo op with Hanoi Jane did wonders for his aspirations…
… almost as much as his conspiring with the North Vietnamese…
Traitors, both of them.

Still promoting your lies Chestnut?

Yamin, birds of a feather…..
About as much prof as your claims of Bush doing coke.
November 13th, 2007 at 3:41 pm
Yamin, you still yammerin’?
This photo isn’t a lie:

Look over Jane’s head, in the back there, you dumb son of a bitch.
Either way, it doesn’t require a photo to know that those two traitors betrayed their country.

Nice to see our non partisan Secretary of State Mark Ritchie in attendance
November 13th, 2007 at 6:05 pm
Rudy: Did you see Ritchie at the event?
November 13th, 2007 at 6:09 pm
Had a pair of eyes – do believe we have a picture which we would be happy to share I will see if we can upload it to you.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:00 am
Chessnut,
Not only do you lack spelling ability, but you also are a human cesspool and a traitor yourself.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:24 am
MDE, I thought Ritchie was over at your place for the weekly game of Risk and Triscuits?
November 14th, 2007 at 6:24 am
Jaxhole, … given that ridiculous comment, it’s clear that it is an understatement to say that Democrats are bankrupt of ideas.
Of course, the recent news makes it clear they are bankrupt financially too…
The party of death, fear and lies. … DFL.

I love the grand old party. So many values and traditions
