BONOFF COMPLAINS TO REPORTER AFTER SHE WRITES THERE IS “UNEASINESS ABOUT BONOFF” WITH DEMOCRATS

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 16, 2007

This is another example of how State Senator Terri Bonoff is not ready for prime time and the scrutiny of a campaign for Congress:

"I'm not sure I've ever gotten more reaction on a blog post than yesterday's comments about Terri Bonoff and the 3rd Congressional District race. Last night I got a call on my cell from Sen. Bonoff concerned about what I had to say. I pointed out that while I mentioned some tough stuff, I also said some nice things. I try to criticize and reward equally." Source: TPT's Mary Lahammer, November 15, 2007

Click here for the complete story.

I've received a few phone calls today from people who think Bonoff's campaign is having a tough time getting off the ground.  Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information.

On a completely unrelated note, what happened to Residual Forces?

She best pick it up or she stands a chance at making poor Zack @ Pooplius look bad. ;)

Give her credit, pretending is difficult.

The DFL knows they can’t beat Paulsen in the 3rd CD, so of course they are going to put up some nut-jobs and neophytes.

Bonoff just happens to be a little more neophyte than nutjob (perhaps).

Seems to be a trend among liberals… they bitch and complain every time someone challenges them.

What a bunch of absolute cowards.

Tell your lap dog Mary L to get over herself. It isn’t her curly hair that prevents her from commercial or network television, it is her juvenile, journalistic style. I have actually seen her skipping down the halls giddy with laughter when she thinks Pogemiller and the Governor are going to go at it.

What a baby- the more I think about it the more I think Paulsen should continue to hold off his annoucement – keep this babe in the driver’s seat.

I like Mary L. I think the reason libs don’t like her is because she stands up to that male pig Pogey.

Here’s more of the post… She appreciated Bonoff’s directness in calling her. She was also clearly offended by the comments here about her hair:

“I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten more reaction on a blog post than yesterday’s comments about Terri Bonoff and the 3rd Congressional District race. Last night I got a call on my cell from Sen. Bonoff concerned about what I had to say. I pointed out that while I mentioned some tough stuff, I also said some nice things. I try to criticize and reward equally. I gave Bonoff credit on WCCO-AM in my weekly segment Thursdays with Mondale and Jones for having the guts to call me and have a professional, productive conversation. Sometimes it’s easier for people to digress to name-calling, like what’s going on in the comments on MDE right now. It amazes me the vicious things people will say with anonymity online. Would they ever say these cruel things out loud to someone’s face? After more than a decade working in commercial and public television I know viewers can say some nasty things, it seems they forget we are real people with real feelings. I know I have crazy hair, but I love public television for actually allowing me to embrace my naturally curly Norwegian fro. When I worked in commercial television I was not allowed to have my naturally curly hair, I had to cut and straighten it because news anchors don’t have curly hair. I want it to be about my journalism, not my hair.”

I guess Mary was talking about people like you Kristie.

I like Mary L’s hair and clothes. She always does the very feminine Nanette Lepore type stuff. I hope that Bonoff calling her (which I’ve heard is her MO to call- say things like “let’s not attack each other” while she has her folks go on the attack) does not temper any future journalistic covering of the DFL candidate.

  12. Lawrence Says:
    November 17th, 2007 at 10:58 AM

“Kristie” is as wicked as Sean L. O. and Karl B. For what purpose?

  13. Peter Says:
    November 17th, 2007 at 11:02 AM

More examples of liberals, I mean progressives, trying to control the media into only printing what they want. They don’t like Lahammer, because she has integrity.

  14. Jason Says:
    November 17th, 2007 at 11:31 AM

It’s the Becky Otto/Hillary Clinton School of Media Management.

  15. Hiram Says:
    November 18th, 2007 at 4:54 PM

I suspec liberals and/or progressives don’t like Lahammer because she seems obsessed with her hair.

  16. flyer Says:
    November 18th, 2007 at 6:53 PM

I like Becky Otto. She is the only House Democrat to lose an election in the last 4 years. We need more Democrats like her.

  17. Jason Says:
    November 18th, 2007 at 7:15 PM

    Excellent point, Flyer!

“I have actually seen her skipping down the halls giddy with laughter when she thinks Pogemiller and the Governor are going to go at it.”

What are you talking about? Many of us at the Capitol do that.
